Oriental Land May Work With Disney on Shanghai Park
By Naoko Fujimura and Shunichi Ozasa
June 23 (Bloomberg) -- Oriental Land Co., operator of the Tokyo Disney Resort, said it may cooperate with Walt Disney Co. on a planned Shanghai theme park.
“There’s a possibility we may work together with Disney on Shanghai,” Akiyoshi Yokota, executive director, said in an interview at company headquarters in Chiba prefecture, a Tokyo suburb. No details on cooperation were decided, he said.

I'm not sure how credible this is. It's not from Disney, it's from a third party that is remarking what they could do. Also operating in Japan is not like operating in China. They don't know how to do anything there any better than Disney. Also When Disney worked with OLC to built TDL Disney did not get the deal it hoped. It's plan was to buy back the TDL park that OCL financed the contruction of. Once TDL was built OCL decided it would keep it.
Also in DLP Disney divested itself and then reinvested in DLP when it could afford to do so. A costly mistake it tried to avoid in Honk Kong. I don't see it doing it again in Shanghai.

Really have you ever heard of Toyko Disney Sea considered by most in the business to be the best theme park in the world?

Read the article and notice this "“Oriental Land has know-how to operate a theme park and develop attractions that fit locally"".
They say they know how to do it in Japan but imply it applies the world over. OCL has no success in any other country. Disney however does.
Also keep in mind that OCL didn't create TDS or TDL it came from WDI. OCL just shopped and bought.

I could be wrong but didn't WDI design both parks not the OLC.
