We are taking a spur of the moment trip down to WDW over the Labor Day weekend. Leaving Friday after school- arrival approx 9:30 pm Friday and departing approx 11 am on Monday. 2 A / 2 C.
We are staying at ASMu and plan to take cooler with snacks/breakfast items and drinks. I am purchasing 9 Q & C. We will eat before we arrive on Friday evening - have breakfasts in the room, bring a few snacks in our packs to the park, and 1 A/1C will share 1 voucher. I don't plan on taking but about $100 extra. Room is prepaid and we have APs.
We are trying to make this a very economical trip because we are going back after Thanksgiving for a pre Christmas celebration and are spending quite a lot.
Do you think I am being too economical?

No! Especially if it means squeezing in another visit to WDW. :) I think you will have a fine time with what you have planned and I think it is so cool that you can go for the weekend! I figure since you have an AP, you have already been there on a previous trip and probably already have a bunch of souvineers. Plus, you can tell your kids that it is a scouting/planning trip for your upcoming visit in Dec.

I just wanted to say Hi:wave: ! A friend/coworker and I are also going down just for the Labor Day weekend, and are also staying at ASMu!!

I'm also going down after Thanksgiving (with my DH)!!

This is to cool! My DD- 10 and I are going down with one of my friends and her DD-10. Maybe we will all see each other- I will be the one wearing the pin laynard with the lime green bow tied on it! I am sure that we will all have a ball- budget or not!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think your budget is very reasonable because almost everything is already paid for. Sounds like your going to have a blast. Can I go? ;)

I'll look for you, Callahanjulie10! We will be the 2 "middle-aged" ladies! One of us (my friend) will probably be looking embarassed by how the other one (me) is acting! heehee I might be "middle-aged", but I don't have to act it!!!!:p :p :p :p :p :p I'll have lime-green on my belly-bag, and might wear my lime-green DIS Con lanyard!!

By the way, I have a just-turned-11 year old DD! Too bad she's not going this trip (or next). She and I went alone last December. Then my 17 year old DS and I went alone in June. This Labor Day trip will just be for my friend and I. My DH and I are going alone in December. Hopefully, we will be able to make a FAMILY trip again in spring 2004!
