A further update on Robinrs' mom **Friday 8/16**

Earlier this evening, I returned Robin's call to me from last night. She had been at the hospital throughtout the day on Thursday. Her mom, Jackie, was confirmed with ovarian cancer and Robin said the doctors indicated that it is in a terminal stage. :( She said the doctors were looking at 'months'. :(

As said in Rhonda's post from last night, her dad is in a nursing home, but she is hoping to have him come home from there soon. Robin has a huge amount of family concerns at the moment and I passed on to her that Rhonda had posted an update from last night's call to her. She was so happy, Rhonda, to hear you had done that. Robin said she was hoping to be home by Sunday and maybe drop by here to pass on her thanks to all those who have meant so much to her and her family.

Know, Robin, my prayers are with your mom, you and your dad, along with Michael and your whole family. You indicated how many people your mom has raised and cared for over her lifetime, so many people owe her so much.

My best to you all, Robin, and know we are a phone call away for a word of comfort.

Robin, I am so incredibly sorry to hear this. We went through the same thing with my husband's (young) aunt. She went in for some minor abdominal surgery only to find advanced ovarian cancer. I returned from my vacation two days ago. And then, one of the first things I read is this. Oh my God!

Robin, you are one of the persons here who became more than a member of the disboards. For me, you have become a friend! And your way how you encourage people, how you make them happy again, and your love to Michael make me feel, you are one of the greates persons I have ever met.
Now, in this difficult time for you, your family and each and everyone of your friends, you should know, that I stand behind you. I feel with you. At least I try to do so, as I think we can only know the real pain of such a situation, when faith wants us to go through such a difficult situation.
