What is the minimum age of the Family Fun Runs? Specifically the Royal Family Fun Run and the Halloween Family Fun Run. My DD9 and DD7 want to run with me but I thought that they were limited to the kid races because of their age. An acquaintance who ran with her DD8 last year in the Royal told me that the minimum age is 5.:confused3

According to the event website, all ages can run, but must be able to complete the event on their own.

I saw that but I also saw "This 5K will take you on a one-of-a-kind Halloween themed course through the Magic KingdomŪ Park. Adults, teens and tweens can be immersed in the fantasy of Halloween and dress up as their favorite character or villain!" I think I'll call before I register them. Thanks!

My friend's 5-year-old does 5ks once or twice a year. As long as your children have trained to go the distance, they should be fine.

I would say they are OK as long as you guys have trained. I think they will have fun. Just make sure they understand that at the start they do not need to keep up with the greyhounds up front.

I am not a fan of hard age cutoffs. I think there are always exceptions.
