technical question regarding 2 BR BCV (or any other 2 BR DVC )

If you reserve a 2BR unit, is it luck of the draw as to whether you will get a 2BR dedicated or 2BR lockout? Is it something you can ask for when you are making your ressies?

The reason I am asking is I am thinking about asking my sister's family to join us at WDW in a 2BR unit. There are 4 of them and 3 of us... I was thinking the dedicated 2 Qu beds in the 2nd BR would be the preferred option....

I am sure others here can answer your query in regard to BCV better, but I know at OKW all 2 bedrooms, both lock off and dedicated units have 2 beds in the 2nd bedroom. As you know, that is not the case with the other DVC. You can specifically request a dedicated 2 bedroom at the DVC resorts, however I don't think BWV has dedicated 2 bedrooms, but I am not sure of this, as I have never stayed there.

There are no dedicated two bedroom units at BWV. All are "lock offs". The second bedrooms all have one queen bed and a double sized sleeper sofa.

I specifically asked this question in regards to my home BCV. You can reserve a 2 bedroom dedicated villa. This would be a reservation, not just a request so you would be getting the dedicated villa. The dedicated villas at BCV will have 2 queen beds sometime within the next couple of months.

I believe that OKW has 2 queen beds in all the 2 bedrooms. BCV (will have) and VWL have 2 queen beds in the dedicated 2 bedooms and BWV doesn't have any rooms with 2 queen beds.

Last month I got a dedicated 2 br in BCV, but it's only 1 queen bed and 1 sofa bed in the 2nd bedroom. I am not aware that there actually are 2 queen bed in any dedicated rooms. I thought they 'are going to' do so, but has not happend yet.

adamak.... my understanding is that they are going to start replacing the couch in the 2nd bedroom of the dedicated 2 bedrooms villas at BCV to queen beds starting in October.
