DH and I have been to Disney World together three times - on our honeymoon 8 years ago , for a quick "cheer up" trip following a miscarriage, and for our first family trip with our 3 kids this past January. We have a rare opportunity to get away for 3 nights/4 days in the Fall and are thinking of returning on our own. We know we want to spend time in the Epcot Worlds, as we didn't really explore that like we wanted to while with our kids. While on our honeymoon we were busy doing the normal Disney stuff/parks as my husband had never been before. Seeing that we just did that "normal stuff" with our kids in January, what could you recommend (beyone Epcot Worlds) that would be different/special for this trip and would be something we couldn't do (or wouldn't really enjoy doing) if our 3 young children were along? Feel free to include restaurant and hotel recommendations as well. Thanks!

Save money by staying at the Hilton, WDW and get the benefit of early admission or late stay at the parks. If you are not driving, they have shuttles. I would definitely go see LaNouba if you have not seen it yet.

I would time it so I could go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (yes, without the kids) and also spend a day at the EPCOT Food and Wine festival and enjoy the atmosphere at a leisurely pace. You will be able to notice different things when the kids aren't there; I'm thinking late September, early October.

-Tour the monorail resorts--drinking or not! *LOL*
-Tour the EPCOT resorts and enjoy some evening time on the Boardwalk.
-Book one of the tours--KTTW is a good starting point.
-Tour the DTD resorts. Take the ferry from DTD to SSR/OKW or POFQ/POR.
-Check to see if anyone is looking for others to share costs for one of the fireworks cruises.

Relax and enjoy a few days without the young ones! :)

Thanks! I especially like the fireworks cruise idea!
