How do you find a crop group?

Hello everyone--

I'm Trixy and I love to scrap! I've read the threads going back thru about early June and many of you seem to be involved in a cropping group.

How do you find a group to join?

I've been to a couple of CM parties, but most of the people there are just beginning the hobby and don't have a clue what they're doing. I'd love to get together with a group and share ideas.

Anyway, thanks for any ideas you might have!

Where in Massachusetts are you. I live in Boston and I am in a couple of different crop groups.

Several of us at work just started talking about it - we're all just starting out too - and we get together in a spare room at lunch a few times a week and scrap together and share our stuff!

Do what I did and get all of your friends/family addicted too and there you go: instant crop group!

I find that many people want to scrap but are scared to start, etc. Maybe if you tried to organize it, it would work (?).

Also, your CM consultant may have monthly crop til you drop workshops? They are fun, and a great way to learn new ideas.

I have been putting out enquiries all over the place. On ScrapJazz they have a local area board which you can ask, also the CK website has a scrapper locator.

I ask my LSS all the time (It's not really local, but I ask if they have any other mail order customers near me), I am involved in a couple of internet lists ,and I mention it on their frequently. I have been looking for about a year, and have finally found a group about an hour away from me, which is pretty good. I think I will start cropping with them in September - probably once a month.

Do you have an LSS? most scrapbook stores seem to hold regular crops, you could start there,
