Room Requests at POFQ

As you all may be tired of hearing by now, our family will be at POFQ from 12/30/02 thru 1/3/03.
We have a 'water view' room reserved. We'd like Bldg 1, 2nd or 3rd floor, facing the river.
How do I go about requesting a room in the bldg and floor we want, and not blowing it?
I've never done this before. Usually we just take what they give us, and tear off for the MK and a Dole Whip.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :jester:

I'd call and have them add something like this to my ressie: 1. 2nd Floor requested 2. River View Requested 3. Building 1 requested (yes - the CRO agent will tell you that none of these are guaranteed)

Make sure you have them listed in order of importance. I would then fax my requests in a Ultra-polite letter to the room controller stating my requests and asking them to do whatever they can for you (fax it 3 days before you arrive).

At check-in, find out if your requests were met. If they were not, politely ask if anything matching your requests is available, and state that you are willing to wait later for the room if need be.

If they cannot match your requirements your first night, see if they can flag your reservation and see if they can possibly move you the next day (yes, you'll have to move, but at least you might get more/all of your requests met)
