SCUBA Diving in Hilton Head or Vero Beach?

Has anyone gone SCUBA diving in Hilton Head or Vero Beach? I would like to dive in Hilton Head, the week of July 15. Any ideas on water temperature, visibility, or sites to dive?

Same questions for a future trip to VB.

Haven't done it at Vero but I have seen divers in the area.
