Print at Home Tickets-Disney/Universal Studios

Has anyone used the print at home tickets for Universal and Disney. I am wondering if I can print and laminate the tickets. Not sure if Disneyland is the same as Disney World and the tickets go through the slot. It looks like Universal tickets have bar codes, perhaps they are just scanned? Any thoughts if I can do it? Thanks!!

With Disney, you take the printed voucher to the turnstile, they take it and scan it, and give you a proper ticket.

And the tickets at DLR aren't put into a slot; they just scan them. APs, too.
