I'm going, and it will be my first pin event too. I've been to one so I have no idea what to expect. But, it should be fun!!

I had a hard time deciding too. But since DH is going too, after he chose the ones he wanted (which are different than me) I added my MOST wanted to his too because I hoped that at least ONE of us would get them. I didn't get any framed, but I did ask for the Mayors hat and the pin trading bag/pin combo. I just don't know that I can wait until July to find out!!!

We are not going, but I wanted to shout out to Suzi and Vince and son that we ran into on the monorail this past Monday. We have just about stopped buying new pins and attending pin events, DH just goes for the very old HTF pins...

Michele & Milton, sorry we are going to miss you at the Pin Event. Linda & I very much enjoyed spending time with you at the NFFC Holiday Extravaganza last December. Are you going to sign up for the Holiday event in Dec. again? We will, if we can't get into the d23 Magic & Merriment event. Linda just had a hip replaced last month, so we're hoping she's in good shape for the pin event!
Looking forward to seeing everyone in Aug. at the Epcot Pin Event! We don't get to trade (socialize!) as much as we used to.

The Florida Chapter of the NFFC has not made any plans for December
yet. They are waiting for the National Chapter to contact them after the NFFC National Event in July at Disneyland. I don't have any plans to go in December since we are going for a week in Oct with our unofficial Disneyana travel group. We are staying at the TreeHouse Villas at SSR Oct 23rd to Oct 31st. Have fun at the pin event. I wish I were joining you.

Boy did I have fun trying to get my RSP done. It wouldnot take me to the RSP page. Good thing they extended the deadline, AND that Steven Miller is a friend on face book. I had to message him and he told me the deadline had been extended. SO I got to talk to someone on monday and I finally got it done. Whew!

But boy what a clobber to my dredit card of I get everything. I haven't spent this much at an event in years! Put it this way, if I quallify for everything, I'll also qualify for all the promo pins. OUCH!!

My dad collects all things Figment as well and there's definitely a lot of Figment stuff this year.

We just returned from Branson, MO and I did my RSP before I left the day it was due. I didn't have internet access until I returned so didn't know about the extension. Oh well, it is done. I am going to be in BIG trouble financially if I get everything I put down, but I wanted to make sure I got some that I liked a little bit in case I didn't get my favorites. :goodvibes Now it is just waiting to see what I did get. It will be my first big pin event. Any helpful ideas or advice would be greatly welcomed from you experts! DH is not a pin trader or collector, so it will just be me alone.

Are small rolling suitcases allowed at this event? I will probably only bring about 3 books/bags but even that is too many to carry. Do they have a limit on how many you can bring in? Also, when trading on their pin boards, what is the best way to know what is a good trade or a wanted pin without memorizing all the pins (I couldn't do that if I tried).

And, I'd like to know if portable seats on a tripod are allowed in? I cannot stand all day in the trading lines. Swore I would never do it again. Last year dh and I sat on the floor and scooted along (with several other people).

There's a line to the far side of the turnstiles for attendees with suitcases and bins. They have a bomb sniffing dog go down the line looking for anything suspicious.

I thought they just made it look harder than it actually was...
and they had plenty of everything..as I registered 2 people..and..we both got everything on our lists...:confused:

No. That's why I started an RSP thread. I know some people who did not get the Cheshire Cat pins as well as the Grumpy pin. Congrats. you are one of the lucky ones who got everything on their RSP.
