I was just wondering if the Contemporary Resort still offers a Christmas Dinner Show. We Were in WDW Dec. 19-28 In 1997 and attended a great dinner show in ine of the conference halls at the CR. It was a Dickens Classic theme, It came with dinner and drinks, if anyone has any info on whether or not this show still happens I would appreciate it,so far no answer from CRO.

This show was discontinued a few years ago. Nothing replaced it.

I think the Dinner Show your talking about was the Jolly Holidays Dinner Show. We used to go to this every year.It was one of the things we looked forward to the most! On the last year we attended 1998 I believe, we were told that they were moving it from the Contemporary to a new location. Then the following year when we called to book it we were told it was postponed due to the Millinium Celebration. Now it is 2002 and still no word on weather or not its ever coming back.If anyone knows anything I sure would like to know.

Thanks for the replies, It was the Jolly Holidays Dinner Show we attended in 1996. It was a great dinner show and really put us in the christmas spirit. Too bad it's discontinued! I hope we can find a nice X-mas themed dinner on the 24th or 25th. Were doing HDDR on the 21st and CP Hopefully on the 23rd. Thanks for all your replies. Fred.

If 1996 was your last Christmas visit, you should also know that the televised parade is now all shot ahead of time. There is no "live" parade being broadcast on Christmas morning. That also ended roughly 1996-1998.

we have been to the HDD twice during december and the only thing "christmas-y" was the addition of several christmas carols/songs. maybe closer to christmas it becomes more of a christmas show.:p
