Well, it is inching towards 100 degrees here in MA, DS and I are home on Wednesday mornings, and it was TOO HOT to stay home. So we went for a little ride in the AC car, and then to Papa Gino's for lunch. So I am sitting there with him, and see a white van pull up out front, and see 2 little girls hop out (maybe 7 or 8 years old) the 'mom' (person driving the van) pulls around, and parks in the fire lane I guess to keep an eye on the girls. . So a local policeman was sitting eating his lunch, and out of sight of her or the girls.

To make a long story short, he got the mom (and the other child she had in tow) to park the van and come in with the girls. One of his better quotes was,

"Don't you watch the news lady? I could have had the two of them out the back exit before you even knew they were gone. Smarten up, they're only 7!!!".

The lady then yelled at the people working at Papa Ginos for taking too long, took her money back, and stormed out with all the kids.

Keep the kids close everyone. I know the kidnapping rate is really not much higher than in years past, it's just being reported more and more.

Things like that and kids held on adult laps without car seats really get me going. My kids have been known to whisper to each other, "I hope Mom doesn't see that. I don't wanna hear about it!"

People just haven't gotten the message yet, have they?

WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE????!?!?!?!?

Bravo to that man... he is trying to make a difference and getting slapped in the face for it....

I don't know about anyone else, but if I had been that mother I would have been very... what's the word.... scared.... upset.... with myself for putting my kids in danger so much that a police officer would stop me and explain that maybe I should be more cautious.

This "LADY" was just MAD that she was called down.

People need to get a grip.
