We booked through an online Travel Agent in the UK so you never know....

We just checked our Reservation on the DCL website around 45 days out for our Cabin Number & when I checked the Cabon we had been given was a CAT6

Why would you be afraid of that?

Fewer kids means more attention from the crew in the clubs and the ability to make closer/better friendships with the kids who are there. Also more space in the pools! I know the kids on the WBPC and the EBTA that I've done have had a BLAST! :thumbsup2

We bought a waterproof case for it off ebay which is how we recorded parts of Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach

This is the only Cruise that we have been on so don't really know how many kids would normally be on the Ship

There were plenty of kids in the pools & kids clubs but not excessive queues to see Characters etc..

There were also lots of adults without children (mostly on 2nd seating for Dinner)

We thought that it was a good balance of both

It certainly looked as though the majority of Adults all opted for 2nd seating but there didn't appear to be any empty table at our seating either

Im not sure about arriving for dinner late on Port days such as Rome as we were always back for our allocated time

Perhaps someone else can advise?

I have and use Sonic on my computer, but it does not have all of the great packages yours seem to have. For example the opening on your first video that resembles 20th Century Fox. It would be a dream come true to be asked to showcase other DCL Cruises but would take a serious amount of :tink:

With regard to our Port Excursions I spent a lot of time researching each Port
I firstly looked through the Port Excursions offered on the DCL Website to get an idea of what places were a possibility. I then researched ways of doing Excursions of interest privately using Trip Advisor & Cruise Critic for help. There is a massive amount of information available.

We simply couldn't afford to do the DCL or Private Excursions and I was also concerned about the length of these organised trips with a 7 year old in tow (Some were 12hours long)

We tried to balance out seeing things which were of interest to Phil & myself & finding some fun things to do for Ben (His favourites being the Dolphin Swim & Camel rides) Although he also enjoyed the Colosseum & Leaning Tower of Pisa a lot too.

Sorry for the delay! We have been having some re-decorating done at home and as a result the house has been upside down & Phil has been having to spend his spare time re-wiring lights etc..

I just wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed your trip report. I especially loved seeing all of the scenes on the ship as it definitely got me excited especially now that I am only three weeks from boarding and bringing her back to the states!

I am sure that you will have an amazing time on your Cruise and 9 July 2011 isn't too far away now at all!

Research is the key for the Port of Calls. I have absolutely no sense of direction whatsoever but spent lots of time planning our days and it was much easier than you would think.
