With all the different Resorts there are many different things to do at most resorts.
What have you NOT done at a Disney Resort that they offered?
We have not Layed in the Hammocks on the beach, the Luau at Poly, Boat rental at GF, or any of the other many things. Lady bug release, hula lessons, or even just a walk on the beach.
You know what that means....................I HAVE TO GO BACK!!!!!!!

Parasailing. I went to make reservations at the Contemporary Marina last January and they were closing for a few days. So, there's always next time.

Rent the surrey bikes, I want to do this so bad! But there never seems to be enough time...and we stayed for 10 days last trip! This April we're there for 11 days, we have to find some time. Also, we really want to try the water mice.

Last year the boys and I wanted to rent a surrey bike at the Polynesian. It was the last day of our stay and the idea was to get them out of Mom's hair so she could pack, but all three of us were really up for it.
But it was 9:00, and the Marina didn't open until 10! As we were leaving at 10:30, we just couldn't do it, and had to settle for a trip to the Arcade.

So many things, so little time :)
Shades of Green, I never took the orange grove tour.
Beach Club I never took the garden tour
GF I never saw the housekeepers do the parasol dance in the morning
PO I never rode the boat to DTD or rented bikes
AS I never did find the childrens playground, and never finished the trivia challenge.
I've also never done the ladybug release, fireworks cruise, never went to the FW petting zoo, never took the hayride, never spent time in the evening at the BW entertainment area (even though I've stayed there half a dozen times!).

We havent rented the surrey bikes, parasailed (not that I would want to :) ), watched the ladybug release, taken the WL tour, relaxed on the beaches, and we have never eaten at the nicer restaurants. I would love to eat at the restaurants, but hubby is strictly meat and taters kind of guy and doesnt like trying new things. :(
I LOVE THE WATER MICE!!! :) THAT IS FUN FUN FUN! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! :bounce:

That seems to be one that we all want to do, but just don't. That was another one we are going to try and do in Janary.
I can't wait.

We finally rented the surrey bikes at the Boardwalk - and let me tell you, it is much harder than it looks!!!! We had a blast though, I think we were laughing so hard it was hard to pedal! If anybody was there last summer and saw two men get off to push the bike up the incline near the Swan/Dolphin hotel, that was us!!! We couldn't go anymore!!! We were able to make it three times around though. It really is a lot of fun!!
I'd like to have one day when we don't do anything - except lay around the pool, and have a nice dinner. (Last summer, on our day "off", we went riding into town and rode around Celebration. It was really nice. )
Have always wished for a lazy day by the pool...Usually the pool is squeezed in between parks or in the dead heat of the day!!!

We still haven't been in any of the pools. Some day I guess we will get around to it. I just can't give up any park time to go swimming.

We haven't seen the torch lighting ceremony at the Polynesian. We didn't do any of the kids activities at the BWV:( (they had some really creative crafts to do). We haven't heard the storytelling at the AKL. We always have next time;)

The only thing we have done is used the pool at CBR and used the water mice at the Contemporary. BUT having been to Disney so many times now we are begining to plan non park times into our trips starting with this one coming up in a couple of days. I want to do most all the fun things at the resorts we will be staying at. We have scheduled the Luau at the Poly for dh and I while the kids go to the Neverland Club...something they have ALWAYS wanted to do and my youngest is just now old enough to. We plan on checking out the hula lessons, the kids crafts, the pool, just lounging at the concierge lounge. When we go to AKL in November we plan on doing as many of the kids activities as we can. I have a feeling our trips are going to be much different than they were previously. Weve done the parks so many times now....now its time to enjoy the places that we stay. Im not saying we wont go to the parks but it will be more resort time than park time.

We've stayed at nearly all of the WDW properties but in all those visits have never gone swimming in a resort pool. Too many things to do with too little time...
