This was already on DS13's MUST DO list for our trip in May - we went last year and he loved it. Service is excellent, food is fresh. I looooove the mashed potaties - they're real, and have the skins in 'em. It was the only item I saw them run out of on the buffet.

As we were being seated the hostess asked us if we'd been there before - when we said last year, she was all excited about telling us what's new.

CRAB LEGS! And not soggy - they actually SNAP when you crack 'em!

NEW Dessert station! So cute! It's right across from the oreo bon bons

Here's the "menu"

OK, so this was even better than the bon bon. FOR REAL. A tiny morsel of a cake that packs a huge punch of ooey gooey warm chocolate in the middle. Topped with chocolate syrup and capped with a fresh raspberry, it's a little piece of heaven. DS13 had THREE.

Don't dismiss the kid's section of the buffet. Best. Nuggets. Ever. The only bummer is that the "Mickeyroni and cheese" is now just plain macaroni, but it's still good.

Great selection! I loved everything.

Cape May is certainly now better then ever! We went on our trip in May and OMG!!! They changed around the non seafood selections, and they were all really good. And I didn't think anything could ever top my favorite Oreo BonBons, but...that Lava cake...divine!!!! :worship:

Hi
We were here last December and they had chicken and some kind of beef dishes. They also had pasta, veggies, salads, pizza. I don't eat any meat, so I always look to see how much other stuff there is to eat besides the meat. We love this buffet. The desserts are great!!

Crab legs are showing on the current menus at walt disney's website. We have this booked for our first night meal, and we are so excited, as we all LOVE crab legs, my 10 year old can eat probably 8-10 by herself.

We were there in May and fell in love!! It was a fantastic value for the caliber of seafood there. The snow crab legs were super fresh as well as the clams and mussels. All the sides were very good- especially the potatoes. The dessert was to die for!

We're going back in Dec with our kids and our last evening meal of the trip will be there. :)

We discovered Cape May a couple years ago just because we couldn't find Beaches and Cream, we were hungry, Cape May was there so we tried it, loved it, and go back every trip now. But maybe we need to stop talking about how great it is, more and more people are finding out! LOL

Absolutely !

There are plenty of non-seafood options. Ribs, chicken, some sort of beef at a carving station... The menu changes slightly all the time, but there are always lots of choices.

Here's a sample menu:

How much is the dinner buffet? AllEars says $26.99, but I thought Disney's site said $35.99. That's a huge price increase...

We had dinner there June 24th, and paid $35.99 pp ($16.99 for children).

I'll be the dissenting opinion.. for $26/pp, I would have said it was an ok deal. The crab legs were dry, and the rest of the food was just ok. At $36/pp, we felt it wasn't worth it. The food just wasn't that good. Maybe we caught it on a bad night.

We won't be going back.

I've heard reports like this before- maybe it depends on the night. I sure hope we get it on another good night this Dec! :cloud9:

Going tonight, hope all that I have read is accurate, have not been in a couple years, the family did not think it was that great then. We are willing to try again, and I am excited to hear crab legs are on the menu now and that they have switched it up a little, will post results later, lets hope it is a good night.

Wow, after seeing all of the yummy pictures (DH and I absolutely LOVE crab legs), I quickly tried to get a ressie for our trip next month. Silly me! Of course they don't have anything. We may just have to hope there is a cancellation at the last minute. It looks absolutely delicious. Why, of why, didn't I know about this place when I was making all my ADR's? This looks so much better than some of the other places we are eating.

I went last Thursday. I thought the seafood was decent, but the basil pesto mashed potatoes were not good. I love mashed potatoes at just about every other Disney restaurant I've had them, but these were nasty.

So happy to see your pics and read your review,we have an adr for our 3rd night there and I actually considered switching it , based on a recommendation from a co-worker who thinks we should try Yak&Yeti instead. I think we'll stick with Cape May,I am a seafood lover as well as my DS14,the hubby does not care for seafood but will eat salmon or any fillet, glad to see there are other options for him, dont want to be a restaurant hog LOL.

We just ate at CMC on Sunday. The best thing I ate: Oreo bon bons!!! They were soooooooo good! My other favorites were the breaded fried fish, the large cold mussels, the mozzarella-cucumber-tomato salad, macaroni and cheese and the key lime tarts. The ribs and clams were good, but the clams were tiny. I didn't have the crab legs because I find them too difficult and messy to get the meat out. I wanted to love the lava cake, but it was a little too dark-chocolately for me. I'm a milk chocolate fan.

If I would have known the bon bons were that good, I would have started with them instead of waiting for dessert. LOL
