How are you getting ready for your cruise? Working out? Putting change in a jar for onboard goodies? Practicing snorkeling in your backyard pool? Drilling your kids on Disney trivia? Just wondering how everyone gears up for the big trip!!

Realizing that a week and a half on the Wonder will be dangerous to my waistline (which is already ample enough!), hubby and I joined a local health club with very nice indoor and outdoor pools and slides. Whenever I feel lazy, the thought of having to come home wrapped in a towel because none of my clothes will fit me inspires me to get over tjhere and work out!
Hubby also gears up by listening to his Disney soundtrack CDs, while I get my fix right here at DIS.

Funny you should ask - I am doing thigh exercises since I want to go horseback riding while on my cruise and boy, am I out of shape!
My son (age 7) is listening to his Mickey CD - his favorite is Mambo #5 -
This will be my Mom's first airplane ride and cruise, so she is getting a "workout" picking out her clothes!!
And DH is staying home this cruise, so he is working on his mopey face and sad eye expressions.

Yes, to all the above :teeth:
Proud to say all our cookie jars are 'looking good' and 4nana has saved over $1100 in coins for spending change! The grands love the Disney $'s as gifts for any special occassions we can think of.
We (at least some of our group ;) are trying to loose some of those extra inches, pounds we've somehow accumulated.
One of our sons-in-law started the 'Body for Life' program and has lost 30 lbs in 6 mos by changing his diet and lots of exercise. Since I can't get in the Mickey pool w/the grands looking like this
:o,
I walk every morn and do my son's 'bowflex' every evening, which is a big accomplishment at my age ;) Plus we all are getting plenty of exercise hitting those summer sales for our Dec cruise!!!!

I live on the DIS boards - boss just went to lunch so here I am sneaking in
Been going to Disney Store once a month and charging $100 in Disney dollars. It's easier to pay off $100/mo on charge than paying off $1,000 at once.
After our last of 5 mini summer vacas Im doing some serious walking, working out - so far I walk 14 miles per week - gonna up it to 21 miles/week. Gotta do situps again.
And after Sept 2nd (when we get home from last mini-vaca) Im putting my extra $50 per week into the cruise fund. I figured we need to have at least $1700 saved up for the cruise.
Have to gather and sort through all the cruise notes Ive taken from the DIS. There are wayyy too many right now - thanks for all the tips.
Been shopping for clothes. Have to figure out what gets worn with what and when.

I normally work out 3-4 days a week. For the 3 months before our cruise I have stepped it up to 5 or 6 days! I'll put it all back on in the dining rooms though. Oh well!
We have been feeding our 5-gallon water jug with spare change for 6 months now and we have our traditional "Disney Jug" night coming up next month, where we will order pizza, watch a Disney movie, and dump all the money out of the jug and count it! Then I take the money to the bank and turn it into traveler's checks. We do this about 1 week before the trip.
The night before we leave, we'll make popcorn and watch last year's vacation video. Then we should be fully Disney-charged and ready to go!

I am reviewing my project plan, and checking things off that are done in preparation for the trip.
I am also reviewing info on all the places we will hit during that time, and checking to make sure that i have copies of all the important paperwork and documentation all together.
i also like checking my countdown timer to see how fast the time goes by...
