I'm just looking for information on who wants to do what.......

If you can please let me know if you want to do
Disney
Non-Disney
Alphabet
Monthly

and then i'll take it from there. And figure out what groups we should have.

I thought about a sign up date of August 7th with a due date of Sept 30th. That will give everyone all of aug and all of sept to complete. And they would be back in plenty of time for holiday gifts.

Any questions or feedback would be great!

That should be a link to the A-Z disney one we did a few years ago. I love it! i use it to hold my swapping addresses. I plan to use this swap to make one for my DD, like morgansmom is, and also one for my friend.

You would use cardstock to make roladex cards (there are files for the various progams if you use them - robomaster and SCAL) and then you decorate them- when we did the alphabet Disney ones in the past we each did one (but if the group was small enough each person might do 2 letters) and you are assigned a side for the tab. We have used the 2.4 by 3.5 inches for the letter ones- they can then be used as an address/telephone file.

The monthly ones we made 4 by 4 with the holes at the bottom (they have roladex punches). Each of us did a month and decorated the card for that month- they are great for filing birthdays and such. We didn't put a calendar on them so they are perpretual.

I have never done these either...couldn't you really use them as an element on a scrapbook page also? I don't use a rolodex, but I feel like the ones done previously would make great items for a page!! If that is not crazy, I'd be in for Disney and non-Disney ABC!!!

I think they could be used just like the ATC elements on a page. They would be cute.

Oh no - I wish I didn't go & look at those pictures. Those cards are adorable. I'll have to think where i can keep one of those. I think it would be a good thing if I replaced my old address book with all of the papers sticking out of it & all of the cross outs throughout. hmmmm....thinking about this one.

I love mine from the last swap (although I've not filled in all the birthdays - slacker!!:blush:) Mine just teeter on top of my folders of scrap mags but I love them. Truoble is over here an empty rolodex is about £20 - people don't seem to use them now we have PCs etc.:sad2:

if you do the 4x4 cards (which I prefer) you can't use the roll around one so I think most people put their names on the back.

OK, peeked at the picture and now I'm hooked. I think I'd like to do a spot or two in the Disney category (one for me and one to give away), but how do I make the punches at the bottom if I don't have the proper program. Am I just not able to do this swap?

There are punches you can buy at office depot or through 1 home based company I think- last time people with punches mailed them around for people that didn't have them.

I'm not doing this swap but would be happy to make punches if anyone needs them... I got a punch bought by a very, very, very special MOM on these boards when she found out I didn't have one!!! It's still in the original package w/ her signature on it!

It's a breeze!!!

All you do is cut your base piece at the size indicated.... Last year they were 4 x 4 squares... than just decorate it as themed..... then punch the holes in the center of the bottom... it's really very easy... I was way intimidated on it the first time.... I'd be happy to help you!

I hope everyone has fun w/ this.. We will be 3 days from school starting at sign ups so I'll be too busy to participate! But please if anyone needs anything let me know..

I have never been able to do a Rolodex swap before, because of bad timing. But I think I can do it this year! I just need to know, specifically, how to get the correctly sized/shape of the base. Oh, and I am interested in Disney A-Z

I think the measurements are posted somewhere. The smaller ones are 2 tall by 3 wide, maybe? I'm too lazy to go downstairs and get one to measure ;) The monthly ones are 4x4. I think we decide as a group whether or not to round the corners, Holly will assign which side the letters go on. It's fun and easy!

You will make 26 of the letter you request... (or 13 if 2 letters for each person)
So when we ship them... you get a set w/ 26 letters back... one of each of yours and one of everyone elses to get the full set back...

There will be an a to z - regular size- Disney and I'll open a non Disney too in case there are people that don't want Disney.
And
I'd like to do Jan- Dec- 4X4 like last time and Disney and non Disney.
