Probaly a mistake on the part of Disney.

Hmmm, I don't know that I would keep it on that date...truthfully, I thnik they will have a HARD time selling Winnie-the-Pooh movie no matter how good it is. WTP is mostly for littler kids - who parents don't necessarily take to theatres. While there are some parents that like Pooh, I think you will have a hard time convincing them to pay $10 to see it. Our DD will be 8 next year. Right now, she has been into the original Pooh movie, but I don't know if she will already be to old for this.

Yeah... that will work out well... I have little doubt Pooh will be moved... Pooh vs. the final part of the HP saga? Yah. Sure.

Could they be playing it off as a split family alternative?

"You kids go see HP while I take your little sister to see Pooh. Have fun, don't start a fire."

Having them both open the same weekend would be just silly.

And, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Craig Ferguson, but I don't think he'd be my first-- or tenth-- choice for Owl.

ok so listening to Itunes while reading this article....and the "Avenue Q" soundtrack came up...what a nice little coincidence.
I know Lopez did the Nemo stage show...and also the musical episode of Scrubs...

Yay for randomness

The last Harry Potter book is very dark. I don't think that that as many of the younger kids will be going to this one in the theaters. I can just hear the complaints now. "Why does he/she get to go to the movies and I don't". The same audience is just not going to be at the same movie.

I agree with this. Especially if the director adds more to the gay relationship between Dumbledore and Grindewald.

Well, they're completley different movies but of course I'll see both. I think the top box office of that week will be obvious though.
