I just got a targus tg- 42tt tripod (which holds up to a pound and weighs less than one pound) and its too big (even though its a travel tripod) to fit in my camera bag. So where do I find one of those tripod holder thingys that goes on the camera bag that holds the tripod?

Did you get that for your Kx? It may be a little light for it... but that doesnt answer your question! Does your case have anything you can clip a carabiner to?

I have a sony 230. It stays on the tripod well (and the tripod stays up). My bag has places I could clip to.

THen I would find a way to clip a carbiner to the tripod and attach it to the case that way.

Attach a keyring to the handle or someplace where it wont slip. SOmetimes you need to be creative to make items fit your needs, if youcnat make it do what you need an item to do then buy one that does. Sorry boardmate, but thats the way stuff works.
It doesnt fit in your case.
So you need to find an alternate method to make this one work or you lost your money on it.

What kind of bag are you attaching it to? To attach my tripod to my backpack I stick a leg in the "drink holder" pocket on the side, and I hook the top to the backpack's handle using a dollar store velcro dog collar. I've used a similar setup with a shoulder bag before, but with 2 collars, one on each of the bag's shoulder straps.

I bought a Mickey wide camera strap that I have attached to mine, I can put it on over my shoulder and it doesn't interfere with either the sling bag or the messager bag that I have.

these are both my bags. The big one is the 2 lens bag and the little one is just for the camera and lens

you can get a few wire ties if all else fails. I carry a few extra in my bag in case of emergency. It came in handy when my strap broke in the park. The wire ties allowed for a quick band aid of sorts.
