If you are arranging your own transportation after the cruise is over, do you still have to place your luggage outside your stateroom the night before, or do you lug it off the ship yourself?

You can do either. Just remember that if you take all of your luggage off the boat yourself, you need to take it to breakfast with you.

We disembarked at 8:30am and were in the parking lot, with luggage in hand, by 8:50am to pick up our limo. We put our luggage outside of the stateroom at 10:30pm the night before and just took a day bag with us to breakfast.

Porters are available in the luggage area if you need assistance. They are independent of Disney, so plan on giving them a tip.
