This will be my first time with my Dslr in Disney World.. :goodvibes

The camera bag i purchased is LARGE...too large for the parks (holds w bodies with lenses and upto 6 lenses.) I can not take that into the parks with me...(my wife said so...) :rotfl2:

Anyway, here is my question... What should I take with me into the parks..i have a smaller bag, that I purchased when i first bought my Dslr one of the "Dslr KIT bags" it will hold body, and 2 lenses....

Here is my Gear:

Sony A230
Sony 18-70 Kit lens 3.5/4.5
Sony 50 1.4
Quantaray 55-200 3.5/4.5
Macrolenses
Large tripod with monopod built in

I've always been a 3-bag traveler...each smaller than the other. My main Kata backpack handles my full collection in one place - all camera gear and lenses. Once I get there, that usually stays in my room, and my smaller Tenba bag will handle camera body with one lens attached, and up to 2 additional lenses. If I want to travel even lighter, I've got the smallest bag, a Tamrac video camera bag, that can fit my camera body with 18-250 attached, and can just squeeze a small prime in the bag too.

You'll probably find that the 18-70 can handle most needs most days, with maybe the 50 along as a dark ride lens. I'd only bring macro lenses for specific occasions, if you intend to take macro or need the focal length for a specific shooting you are planning. The Quantaray probably won't be needed at most parks - I'd consider that one mostly for Animal Kingdom for the walking trails, and maybe for DHS for the shows where you sit farther away (Indy, LMA, etc). For the tripod, I'd bring it on any days you think you'll be taking night shots...either bring it in the evenings, carry it all day for that night, or stick it in a locker during the day and retrieve it at night.

If you intend to shoot a lot of different things, then as Zackiedawg said, there are uses for all three lenses and the tripod at WDW. Can you bring the lenses and tripod on the vacation and then just take to the parks each day what you think you will need? Fortunately, my DW is a photographer so she allows me to bring anything I want as long as I carry it!! Do you know how to say Mule!:rotfl2: Below is what we are bringing in two bags. Of course all the light stuff goes in hers. Show this to your DW so she knows its just not you.
