Any suggestions for best clothes / shoes for kayaking?

From kayaking on our own--I really recommend fast drying shorts/tops--not cotton (which stays wet). Or wear a swimsuit top with shorts. For shoes--Keene sandals (or the LLBean equivalent) are great because they offer support and protection for your feet and they dry quickly. Teva sandals are also good, but they don't protect your toes from rocks in the river.

I like to wear a t-shirt over a swimsuit or a swim shirt - something to keep the life jacket from rubbing on my arms. Water shoes are good too - we got some good ones from Lands End that we used on a rafting trip and other water activities.

Look into Teva sandals ~ the Terra Fi are the best and most comfortable. They are supportive, comfortable and water proof .
