For the ladies- Do you like your men with or without facial hair?

I really love a freshly shaved face, kinda gives the guys a baby look. I have never cared for mustaches or beards. Just wondring which you prefer? BTW, DH shaves every morning and I love the look.;)

It depends, dh usually keeps his face shaved and I like that, but I also like it when he lets it go a couple of days and it's a little scruffy. (Although I don't like how it feels). Once in a while he'll grow a goatee and that's ok too. I guess I like him any way :)

DH has had a mustache since before we met. I like it. He shaved it once, and just didn't look "himself". :( He grew a beard for a while, I wasn't crazy about it. He shaved off the beard :Pinkbounc

Chris has a goatee that he won't shave. I encouraged him to try growing it, but now he won't shave it. I liked him better without it. Oh well.....reaping what I sow.

When I was a teenager, I couldn't stand facial hair. Now I prefer men WITH facial hair. Just goes to show how tastes can change LOL

Honestly I truly prefer a completely clean shaven face... especially on my DH. I hate it when he grows something. Usually he'll tease me about it and 5 days later when he knows I am not thrilled, he'll shave it. I just love the look of a totally shaven face.

Stephen has a goatee, and has had one for years. I think he looks silly w/o it. He's had some kind of facial hair since we were married. He also shaves his head. Not bald, but with the smallest guard on it. I prefer his hair long because it curls so great, but the shaved head isn't bad either. He's kind of scary to look at, 6'4", 250 lbs, goatee, shaved head. I told him all he needs is a tattoo and he'd scare me ;) !

I've known DH for 23 years and have never seen him without a moustache. He has talked for years about shaving it...at this point it would be "ok" with me either way.

It depends. I've known one guy who had a beard and mustache for YEARS. One summer he shaved it because it was hot. Auuuggghh! Put the beard back. I just couldn't get used to him without it. On the other hand, DH's mustache just didn't fill in right. Loved him with the baby face look. :teeth:

both, but I prefer a little gruff. goatees are my favorite. moustaches without beards are tacky. i don't really like full beards - it's good for change but wouldn't want it around for too long. i prefer a 5:00 shadow (or a day 3 shadow) to freshly-shaven.

I strongly prefer clean shaven. DH likes to have a mustache and a goatee, but I don't like it at all. I have to admit that part of me was glad when he got laid off last time because it meant he had to shave so he could go on interviews. ;)

when i met my FH way back in 1988, he, of course, had no facial hair. when he and i reunited last year, he still had no facial hair. but within a few months, he grew a goatee. and i must say...i think it looks darn sexy!!

so i think it all depends on the man wearing the facial hair!

I like mustaches/beards/goatees but they MUST, absolutely MUST be neat and trimmed.

There is nothing worse looking than a guy who doesn't trim up his beard or mustache and shave the wild hairs around his face off.

Many years ago I tried to convince DH to grow a beard. He joked that when we had a son he would grow a beard. The day we went to the ultrasound of our second child and found out the baby was a boy, DH stopped shaving. That was 12 years ago. He looks wonderful with a beard and keeps is very neatly trimmed. :D

I am normally clean shaven (and a guy, BTW!) but my wife likes me to grow a beard on occassion. My beard is normally soft although it tends to be brown on the sides and blond on the chin :rolleyes:

I usually grow one in the winter just for kicks or in the spring if I am involved in a church pagent. I always shave it off a few months later. Different friends like either look better.

Cute story..my daughter seemed to be scared of my brother who looks a lot like an ewok only thinner ;) I had not seen him for awhile and our families were getting together at the beach. I was in the process of growing a beard so she would get used to them and maybe not be scared, and he shaved his off just for her! (Sort of a gift of the Magi thing..) It is the only time he ever shaved when he was not required to for employment.

Actually, since I am going to WDW immediately following Thanksgiving, I thought I may start growing one then since I will be out of work for over a week.

Of course, I'd go through that "shaggy" period at WDW, but no one will be looking at me then anyway. :D

I love a man with some facial hair. I'm not into the GRIZZLY ADAMS look, but a man with a goatee....OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes: ;) The ones with the babyface are cutie pies too, but I just love a man with a well kept goatee. :crazy: :teeth: And BTW...DH has a goatee. I love him being out of the military!! He could have a mustache, but he wasn't allowed to have any other facial hair. :confused: Now that he's out, he's my sexy man with a goatee! :teeth: :teeth:

It depends on the guy. I like the clean shaven look on some men but a lot of men look great with mustaches and goatees. DH has had a mustache as long as I've known him.
