Just booked DS and I back at our beloved Pop for 2/4 - 2/12, and am practically dancing around the room. :banana: We haven't been for more than 4 or 5 days since he was 7 (he's 14 now), and we are WAY excited about being able to see and do everything we want without rushing like crazy. And to be back at Pop is, well... :cloud9:

Our original dates were 2/2-2/7 but we just found out that my son has a piano competition on 2/5 so we had to re-schedule.

Our new dates are 2/9-2/14...hopefully there will be no conflicts!!!

We're also hoping that these dates will be a Value Season. The V.S. ended on 2/12 the past 2 years, but since President's Day is a week later this time (it's not till 2/21), we are hoping the V.S will extend through our travel dates. :wizard:

Wow, how did you book for Feb 2011 when the rates aren't announced until August? Disney won't allow me to book a vacation package for 2/11 on line and when I called they said they same thing.

That's correct, you can only book a room ressie over the phone right now. But that's all that matters to me -- it's not like park tickets and QS dining is going to fill up, but I want that specific preferred area at Pop. Even though it's value season, Pop fills up all year -- especially the preferred rooms.

Thanks very much. I do hope they keep value season until the Thursday before Presidents Day weekend. Originally we had planned for April 2010 but that fell through with a bang due to relatives getting ill, then we thought April 2011. But the kids vacation is Feb 14 through the 18 and we can't wait so looks like Feb. 2011 it is!

Last time in 08 we stayed at ASMu. I had never stayed on site before but have been going to WDW since 1972 (went to college in FLA). The last time before 2008 was 1990 with friends and we stayed off site- so yowza things had changed big time! DH is not into Disney at all so I go with my brother, sis-in-law and 2 nieces. This time if it is not value season we might try a moderate or even deluxe if a really good deal or code comes through pre-presidents day time. If not I am really dying to try Pop so we will be happy with wherever we stay.

Nice to meet you and thanks again for the info. Dis Boards got me through a lot of angst and questions in '08, our trip was much, much better due to these boards and the generosity of the members.

I would love to take the girls in February 2011. They will be 5 and 3 at that time. My husband says he wants to wait until both girls are at least 40 inches tall so they can ride more rides. Hey, by February they could both be that tall. Our oldest just barely is now.

I am planning on taking a girls trip there from Feb 24th - March 1st. I am planning on running in the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon and it is scheduled for that weekend. So in the theme of girl power, I am bringing some friends, my 4 year old DD and my mom down for a stay.

When planning around the end of the month, just know that the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon Weekend is the 25th-27th. Don't know if it will make a difference in park attendence and what not but it might.:earboy2:

This will be our family's 1st trip to WDW.-staying 2/2-2/7.
We have 2 boys (will be 3 and 6 then).

Hubby went when he was younger and I went once in my 20's for just 2 days(not enough!)

We are planning to stay at the POLY for 2 nights and then we have to switch over to off-site (Hilton Grand Vacations Parc Soleil-$199 for 3 nights).

Im sure I will be wishing we were onsite the whole trip but I'll take what I can get.:rolleyes1

I switched us to a Disney Visa right after DS 1 was born (now 5) so we have mucho Disney dollars saved up :banana:..one reason that I think we should stay at the POLY! :thumbsup2

We will be there for the High School Nationals and last year we were offered packages at CBR and All Star Resort as our choices. Our team has stayed at CBR the past two years.

I also chose to go with a preferred room at CBR, in hopes of Disney only assigning the groups the regular rooms thus putting a little distance between me and the cheerleaders but still being close to my daughter.

Just thought I would pop in and say hi. :wave: I have a room booked for Nov-Dec. Monster pin 40% off, but now am thinking of goig in February for a few reasons. DH tends to get laid off Jan/Feb ish (he works construction) so I'd hate for him to lose a week of pay when he should in theory, still be working. Also this is the first holiday since I lost my mom :( We went to WDW for my only WDW Christmas when I was a kid, and now since both my parents are gone, going back might make me sad instead of happy. And even if I put on my game face I am afraid DH would know I was sad and feel bad too.

...I'm most looking forward to is Toy Story Mania. This is our first trip with our three year-old son, who like small children across the land this summer, has fallen head over heels in LOVE:love: with Toy Story! As for a ride... I think I'm most looking forward to Spaceship Earth because my son LOVES it!! He will be so excited to go on it again and to have his Daddy go on it with him. I have no idea if he'll be able to ride Mission Space (the easier version) but if so, I think he will love that, too. He is a science fanatic and knows just about all there is to know about astronomy and the Universe. Pretty cool!

Hi all you February peeps! :wave2: Just sitting here listening to Tomorrowland background music while I work, and getting more excited by the minute about our trip!! It seems so far away... but I know from experience how quickly the time flies, especially once school starts soon and then the holiday season and then bam! :banana:

So what do you guys do to pass the time? Me, I keep messing with my PassPorter, and shuffling around park schedules and Touring Plans crowd predictions. Makes me feel like I'm doing something in regards to the trip, even if I will end up changing it a hundred times between now and then. :rolleyes1

Right now I'm obsessively going over my park schedule and character dining options. I will be able to book them in 2 weeks. I have ripped up and started over about 50 times. I cannot decide between Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, if we should do mid-day breaks or not, if we should take advantage of EMH or not, etc. etc. I am too OCD for this! :confused3

Before I can get too excited about my trip, I need to figure out how to get my DS there! LOL He is in the process of fund raising, but the trip is $1140 per student, all inclusive (air, hotel, transfers, food...).

Once I have DS's share paid off, I will be able to concentrate on my trip. Plus, I don't know their schedule yet, and since I'm not purchasing hopping privileges, I need to know where they are on what day so I can see the parades!

It'll give members a place to coordinate swaps, share pictures, etc. I set it to "private", so members will have to be approved and non-members won't be able to just wander in. We've changed our plans a bit since I first posted this. We are skipping the first part of our trip because of work commitments, but extending the Pop stay until 2/16, right after our 4 night cruise on Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, Dream!

It will be DH and me, veterans of countless trips to WDW (even stayed at Pop Century on opening night) and 10 year old granddaughter, also a WDW vet. This trip is her Christmas present. We booked it back in February, 2010, and have managed to keep the surprise so far!

We did it! We booked Jan 31 to Feb 6. I asked if free dining plan was available, she "checked", and came back saying it was! :banana: That's the only "deal" I got in the package. I asked if I could also use the PIN # that was emailed to me for 30% off the resort, but she explained only 1 deal per package. Oh well, free dining is better than nothing. Especially since my 11 year old eats like an adult, lol.

Any seasoned Disney vacationers have recommendations for what type of weather to pack for? Our first Disney trip was in Sept, so it was still hot. And we're not telling the kids! We'll spring it on them when we go, mwahaha....;)

We will be there from Jan 29th through Feb 6th for DS 6th birthday.
I have never been this time of the year but my dad has been many times and he says its hit or miss. He's been there that time of year and its been in the 50s but has also been there and its been in the 70s. Best advice I have is to do what I'm doing and just watch the weather as it gets closer.

We have had hit or miss too with Feb. Nov was chilly one year too. My answer is I always multi pack, I pack sweats instead of jammies just incase and we always pack hoodies but we wear them out of the house when we leave instead of coats. We usually shed them by Georgia. I always pack sunscreen because its a different sun then us northerners are used to.

We had to cancel our free dining package as we won't have the money by due date. But we got the 25% off of resort. We have decided to keep 5 day passes and Universal as well. This is the first time we have stayed 6 days so kinda excited about that. Haven't been to Universal in almost 11 years. Harry Potter and super heros <3 Bonus.

Some other "real life" stuff came up and we were unable to afford it at the time...so we re-scheduled for our new dates, at a moderate we haven't tried yet. I just went this past March and the weather was great. We stayed at the cabins and used their pool, it was a little cooler in evenings but nice. Enjoy yourself. This is my first time using adr's and Im addicted I keep pulling DH away to come look at restraunts and think of ways to fit it in our budget.

Oh man-I can't take this snow- only 2 weeks 3 days till we are at Disney!!! :yay::yay::yay:

I'm taking the kids to get new bathing suits for the trip. We may or may not use them, but it makes the trip feel like it's coming soon! (they need new suits this year anyhow).

I planned and booked this trip on a hot August day last year-the kids helped me, and we thought, it's forever away. Now it is almost here! And I never imagined how much we looked forward to it, with our record-breaking snow.

I go on weather.com every day to see how warm and not snowy it is in WDW!! It seems a little cold at 48 degrees every night...but hopefully that will change!

yesterday i booked a trip from the 13th to the 17th!

this time its another solo trip, and my first split stay, the 13th and 14th at the CR lake view, then the 15th (my birthday :cool1: ) and 16th at BW with a water view...

the CM who helped me book yesterday informed me that the BW pool (yes, the crazy clown one) is going under refurbishment when i'll be there, but i'll be able to have access to stormalong bay! (hoping for a warm day!)

if anyone has a suggestion for a great place for a birthday dinner let me know, i tried to get a res for le cellier but the 15th is all booked up...

Our family will be there From February 6-11 at the Saratoga Springs TREEHOUSE for my 40th birthday. :yay:
We have been so many times, as recent as November 2010. (DH and I had a fight. I hate when that happens.)
I have made all the plans. My poor husband got mad and asked what he was supposed to do for me... :love: UMMMM I booked a couples massage :hug: then a romantic dinner to follow. He has NEVER had a massage and he is a lot of nervous.

I found out that my husband got me the gift of the "Behind the Magic Tour" for Feb. 8. The one that starts at EPCOT and is 7 hours long.

We just finished confirming our plans. We will be staying at the BC from 2/19-2/25.

I hope its not too busy that week. We have never been in February so i am not sure how to pack. Will it be warm enough for shorts and swimming?

Although we officially arrive in January, most of our vacation will take place in Feb! Today we are watching Disney movies all day and wrapping up last minute packing. We will be surprising our little guy tomorrow with the news when he wakes up. Our flight leaves at 10:00 and we will hopefully be checked in by 2:30!

On a whim I checked the WDW site and found a room at our 1st choice resort (changed from POR) called and switched our res with a wonderful CM. So excited! 27 days to go! Woo hoo!

Aww, why the sad face? We're back at CSR mainly because we stayed there 2 other times and we love it. This is our last trip before we adopt (yay!!!) and we just can't wait to return to CSR to celebrate our 7th anniversary. Can't wait!

Ahhhh! So that's why the first part of this week is looking so slow, it's right before the CL thing-a-ma-jig. We'll be leaving as you are arriving.....going tomorrow and coming back Wed. Supposed to rain Mon from 12-about 3 but we'll just use that time to go back to the room and recharge and catch a quick meal at the GF.
