??? I have a question.
Is this really on Thursday or is it before DATW on Friday? I am confused as to why it's called DATW lunch if it's on the day before DATW.

Todd has now added this event to his new main calendar- but for Friday.

I'd love to join in if it's Friday.

I've added you, is it just yourself or others?

We will be in Epcot that day so add me & DH Mike(irishdadx4) to the list. We have never been as our kids wouldn't eat anything there and we are trying different places without the kids with us. :cool1:

You may need multiple ADRs like we did for Cape May last year.

Keep in mind that DATW may be pushed back a bit to 4:00 due to shorter than expected park hours. I wouldn't think it would affect lunch, just throwing it out there for consideration. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Good idea, don't want the night to be over before it starts

I think Biergarten opens at 12pm - so what time do you think is best?
If DATW starts at 4pm (we may as well plan for this happening I think) would 2 hours before give us enough time?
We should maybe factor in a few minutes incase we have to wait to be seated.
How about 1-1.30pm - is this early/late enough? Does this affect anyones plans?
Let me know here if that will be a problem, it may end up being a few minutes earlier or later as Disney doesn't tend to work to the half hour/hour when doing ADR's.
Still got a week before I can make the ADR.

I think 1:00 will allow us plenty of time before DATW.
The band (Oktoberfest Musikanten) plays at 1:15, 2:15 and 3:15- so we are sure to catch them even if we make it 1:30.

Where does DATW start? Mexico, Canada- or someplace else?

We usually start in Canada, but some DISers are pre-DATWing in Mexico and some are pre-pre-DATWing in France before that.....

Just want to be clear....since Kitikat(my DW) added us to your list last week, you will be making the ADR for all of us? So I don't have to make an ADR for me and DW? Is that possible? Will Disney Dining allow you to make such a large ADR? Just wondering, this is new to us.

Yep - no worries :goodvibes

I will call Disney Dining and get transferred to the group dining line - as far as I am aware they can make ADR's for larger party sizes.

That's the idea of these threads so we don't have lots of smaller groups trying to co-ordinate a place and time :thumbsup2

I'll probably add a couple more 'people' to the count incase anyone wants to join us after I make the ADR.

Becx, I just realized (duh!) that you are calling from the UK!
Would you like for me to make the call instead? I'd be happy to- it's not any extra expense and easy for me to do.

When the music plays, are we supposed to get up and dance the polka and sing along or something? Or just keep eating sausages and drinking beer?

 Very true!!
I have dined here many times- with my family and with a group of friends. The more friends and beer (or even iced tea)- the more fun this place becomes!
You can polka, chicken dance or just sit and raise your stein and sway to the music!

We are looking foward to this meal as well! :grouphug:

I read a review of the place and it talked about how you a seated with "strangers". They were seated with gloomy, no fun people and they saw people at other tables having so much more fun.

I know that we will be at a fun table!

Menu looks like there will be stuff I will eat, and it will be a treat for DH, since his Mom is from Germany.

If anyone can't make it let me know and I will update the first post. I probably won't have much internet access after we leave for the airport on Weds 8th Dec. so tell me before then if you can :)

I'm really looking forward to this.....I'm sure it will be like Das Festhaus at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, near where I live. I grew up going there, and Disney is the only park(s) I have found that I would consider to be as good or better then Busch Gardens, which is a really beautiful, fun park. Anyways, this is just one of many experiences i am looking forward to. :-)
