hey! how does the BOGO work? I have seen people talk about getting it for free? Do you just use a coupon towards the original one and then the next one is free so basically they both are almost free?

It depends upon the offer and what's out there for coupons.

Most CVS stores will accept a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale. So for example the Reach Floss is on sale BOGO. There is also a BOGO coupon out there for the Reach Floss (the coupon has a picture of toothbrushes on it but is good for the floss). In addition there is a $1 off Floss coupon. So you can give them the $1 coupon then the BOGO and make $1 on the transaction to reduce your cost on your total purchases. You could do the same for the Covergirl where there is a BOGO coupon and a $1 coupon available.

If there isn't a BOGO coupon out there sometimes there are some really high dollar coupons that combined will make the price of the items free, almost free or a MM. For example, the vitamins are on sale BOGO. There is a coupon out there for $1 off. You can use two coupons on the vitamins so that will reduce your overall cost by $2.

You can!

But it's one of those instances where you have to hand them the coupons in a certain order. First the $1 coupon then the BOGO.

In certain instances, you can even combine a BOGO q with a BOGO q. I used a BOGO Bodywash coupon on the Old Spice deal then I combined that with the Oldspice BO BodyWash GO Old spice deodorant coupon. Not every cashier will let it go thru but it can work.

I didn't see any Kettle Cooked Lays at the CVS I went to. Maybe they don't carry that version. I didn't try the coupon on the regular Lays.

My store let me use the $5 off the Lysol Automatic soap thing that expired 5/25.

If you don't have the ban coupon for $1, there was a 75 cent one in one of those little machines right near the deodorants...it was good for any ban deodorant, so it made mine 25 cents...not bad if you can't find the other coupon!

I'm talking about the little machine that spits out product specific coupons in each aisle, not the Red ECB machine!

If anyone did the Biore deal there was also a 75 cent ban coupon in the biore pore strips boxes (folded up inside the instructions) and if you google ban printable coupon it will take you to a link to the ban website where you can print out a 75 cent coupon.

Thanks!!:flower3:

I maxed out on Charmin on two cards. I got an email survey about shampoo for a $10 extra buck and we were getting low on TP. My family should love me for getting the good stuff after having to go through that free CVS earth-friendly stuff :rotfl2:

Also got Duracell on both cards to meet the $25. Used expired $2 coupons and I had $1 mfgs. for the Charmin from some coupon book I sent away for, then I used all my receipts to send away for the $100 coupon book for spending $50 on P&G (today was the last day for that).

I need to get back in the game, there were more things/events happening with my family in May 2010 than the previous 5 years combined I think. I wish I could take all of June off just to shop, but I am broke LOL

I price checked the Kettle Cooked Lays and it doesn't look like they are part of the BOGOF sale. So the coupon from All You won't work for this deal, since it specifies the Kettle Cooked variety. (It may scan and not beep? But I didn't try it.)

:idea:Yup! I do it all the time...but the order definitely matters. The $1 coupon has to go first. I usually try to do these deals on the weekends when the young college kids are working and they could care less about being a coupon nazi :rotfl:

:rotfl2:I love free TP, but that stuff is awful, isn't it. We only have it in our upstairs bathrooms, I am embarassed to have it in the downstairs powder room that guests use. That bathroom has the good Cottonelle! Funny thing is we all sneak in and use the powder room for the good TP now instead of the other bathrooms  So sad :rolleyes1

Forgot to add, I am not even going to CVS this week. Nothing we need and no freebies. I don't have the Floss coupons or the ban coupons (used them up on prior deals). No other deals I could find....Well, I could do the BAN for 25 cent but I am not making a special trip for just that.

This is a GREAT week to do the Skin Care Deal at Rite Aid. Spend $50 get $25 back. Plus if you use your Wellness card you get a bonus $5 back on the deal. Most of the skin care is on sale for $3 off. The Nivea Men stuff counts for the skincare deal AND the spend $15 get $5 back Nivea Men deal! Lots and lots of coupons out there. If you have any of the $3.75 Vaseline infusions coupons (expired) they work great towards this deal too as that is on sale for $4.99. There are also $5/$25 coupons on redplum.com

The OFF personal bug repellant fan thingy (so literate aren't I - you'd never know I have my BA in English Lit ) is on sale for $1 off. The online price is $8.99 with no sale so it should be $7.99 in the store. On the CVS website there is a printable coupon for $3 off - this is CVS store q. There is also a printable B1G1 q on the OFF website. Price after coupons should be $1.99 for 2. Not free :scared1: but DH is wanting to try it so I've to get it as cheap as I can and this is the best price I've found. :thumbsup2

I have had so many problems at Rite Aid with coupons that I called corporate several times. They got REAMED out by the district manager. I felt bad because I know they got in a lot of trouble, but they are so sweet to me now. That being said, I won't give them my coupons until they ring my whole transaction through. Now with the Wellness card ringing things up wonky, I like to see everything rung up before I hand over coupons. Then I pull my coupons out of my bag and hand them over. I refuse to give them first, I don't care what they say! I also try to avoid shopping there M-F during the day. They have the most miserable ladies working then. I prefer to take my chances with the college kids on the weekends :thumbsup2

Here is what I dreamt last night.

I was going to a class when they announced they were out of toilet paper. I said that I had a stash and went back to the house and grabbed a pack of Charmin (the tall, thin kind - not the boxy shaped pack). I carried it through the streets and back to the class while people were on the side of the road clapping and cheering. People fell in line behind me - kind of like the pied piper. We were quite the procession in the street.

I am NOT making this up. I REALLY did dream this. I think I need to stop CVSing for awhile. Thankfully I am going on vacation in a week. (not Disney, alas, but a cruise)

Forgot to add...

The cashier gave me a great tip tonight. She pointed out that there is a CVS coupon for $1 off pantene. It's a pre-printed colored coupon that's supposed to be found on the shelf. According to her the coupon is actually ringing up for $2 off. I couldn't find it but she gave it to me so I think I'm going to go back and do the Pantene deal this week too.

Check your email. Just got a new survey from CVS asking for input on naming a new CVS brand of home care products. $5 ECBs if you qualify and $2 if you don't. :thumbsup2

Maggie

Oh Maggie. This is so funny! ;)

I didn't CVS this week. My ECBs are good until next week so hopefully it will be something we need!

Are they being reluctant to give you another 3/15 if you use one? I was able to nab one from Craig in the pharmacy when I picked up a Rx and got one from Andrea I think it was. I haven't used either one yet.

Just wanted to thank the OP for posting all the CVS deals each week!! :goodvibes

I'm BRAND new at clipping coupons and trying to match sales up with coupons...

Quick question...my mom didn't have her card on her yesterday when she was paying, so we used mine...she got the .99 Ban deodorant with the .75 cents off coupon if you used your card...I was doing the same thing on my card, but I looked at my receipt later, and it looks like it didn't work for me..at the bottom it says Ban, Buy 1 get 2 EB offer limit reached...so does this mean we can only use my card once for every transaction to get any deals??

Hope this makes sense...

I just ask if they still have any and sometimes they'll give me another. It's easier if you ask when you get in the store, so it's like you are going to use it for that shopping trip.

You can only do the "limits" on extra buck deals on each card, so your mom used up your limit by using your card.

There are two different kind of limits - one is the limit of extra bucks, so if it says "limit 1," then you will only get the extra bucks for buying one. You still get the sale price, but extra bucks won't print.

The other type is "per transaction" and that's a sale item that has a limit. An example is when the cereal was $1.66 a few weeks ago, with a limit of 3. The first 3 rang at $1.66, but the 4th rang at $4.29. This is not tied to your card, so you could get an unlimited amount (if they let you), but only the limit in each transaction.

It does make sense. But just an FYI, the cashier should be able to bring up the ExtraCare info with a phone number.....

Ok, maybe its just been a long week (it was) but I'm not sure how you did that.

First, why does it matter if they scan your card at the end?

And then, in what order did you give the OFF! coupons? My clerks probably wouldn't accept a BOGO with the $3. But I still might try it :)

It depends upon the clerk I think as to the scanning of the card, but if they scan the card after then when they input the price of the item for the BOGO then you will get the price before the sale and not the sale price so an extra dollar for the price - though the cashier I had gave me full price anyway even tho she'd already scanned my card.

The $3 coupon is a CVS Store coupon that you can get off the CVS website. Just go to CVS and print them out. You can redeem 2 of these coupons because they are store coupons (CVS Store Coupon is printed right on the top of the coupon :thumbsup2) not a MFR coupon so they can't deny them when handed over in combo with the MFR coupon. But do give them before the BOGO.

ETA - What I'm wondering is if I can do this with the refills and turn this into a MM. $3.99 refill on sale for $2.99...hmmmm....

Scanning the card later in the transaction will cause them to take off $8.99 instead of $7.99 because sale amounts come off at the end when the cashier totals the sale, the coupon is good for up to $10. I give the $3 off first - it's a mfg. (starts with a "5") but it also has CVS on it, and since we can used a CVS and a mfg. on the same item, you shouldn't get any hassle about it.

Sorry I replied before I read this - your explanation is better! I think some must be doing it with refills because they were all gone at two stores here.
