If you are a military family or hold the proper ID card - there area hundreds of participating museums that are offering free admission from Memorial day - Labor day.

We're a retired military family, and we don't qualify :(.

I'll have to ask them why the retired folks don't get to participate.

Before you go check out how much parking is so you are prepared, imax and special events aren't usually included. There is one museum near me that costs $12 to park! Of course it's still a deal but just know in advance sometimes you have to pay a little.

Thanks for the information!! I was planning on taking the kids to a few of these museums this summer...its wonderful that now we can go for free!! :cool1:

Don't forget that if your a Bank of America customer, they are also offer free museum admission on certain days

you can get free texts on when its going to occur as well

I am thrilled with this. There are 4 places we can go this summer. Colonial Williamsburg is on that list.....that admission is pricy! We are active military until 7-31 then retirement!
