http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-4/149620/designall.dll.jpeg
On a casual dining evening (date yet to be determined), we are planning our own Mickey Mouse Club Night to make us very disguisable to other Magic guests and to one another! It’s also another great photo opportunity! So if you would like to participate, you can purchase your t-shirt(s) at either www.DisneyStore.com (http://www.disneystore.com/tees-mickey-mouse-club-you-design-it-tee-for-adults/p/1239031/305603/) or Zazzle.com (http://www.zazzle.com/mickey+mouse+club+tshirts).
There are variations of t-shirt styles that you can purchase (especially at Zazzle) for the whole family in a wide range of sizes. So choose your favorite style and don’t forget to personalize it with your name on the back in a LARGE font. Some DISers are choosing Impress as their font of choice, but feel free to use whatever you like best!
On a final note, pack your Ears if you have them to go with your MMC shirt!
Note that Zazzle DOES ship internationally, where DisneyStore does not.
DisneyStore.com (http://www.disneystore.com/disney/store/DSISearch?D=mickey+mouse+club&Dn=0&langId=-1&Nao=0&Ntk=All_Shopping&Nr=AND%28OR%28pStoreID%3A10051%2CpStoreID%3A10601% 2CpStoreID%3A10052%29%2CpPublished%3A1%29&catalogId=10002&Nu=pProductID&Ntt=mickey+mouse+club&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&storeId=10051&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Dr=AND%28OR%28pStoreID%3A10051%2CpStoreID%3A10601% 2CpStoreID%3A10052%29%2CpPublished%3A1%29&Ns=pGrossMargin|1||pSortName|0&N=0&categoryId=11776):

Utilize rebate site MrRebates.com (http://www.mrrebates.com?refid=274497) to get a 5% rebate return on your DisneyStore purchase. Just note that you have to go to the rebate site first and then link to DisneyStore.com directly from their site in order to get the credit.
MrRebates.com (http://www.mrrebates.com?refid=274497) tells you what coupon codes are current (http://mrrebates.com/search_stores.asp?k=disney+store&g_search_option=S) for the merchant.
Zazzle.com (http://www.zazzle.com/mickey+mouse+club+tshirts):
One point to mention is that on Zazzle's site, they have two circular-looking graphic versions of the Mickey Mouse Club t-shirt. One looks like the one Todd posted (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=36866226&postcount=3616), which is identical to the one on Disney's site, and Zazzle also has a second, a less dazzling one, that does not have the "Member" and "1956" reference. The screenprint is also different in color. So please make sure you select the correct one.
Savings Opportunities for Zazzle.com:
10% off T-Shirts
PROMO CODE: TSHIRTS10OFF; expiration unknown

Okay all you Pirates,Princesses,Wenches,Swabbies and just you regular folk , I just got done talking to my T shirt printer (He does all the uniforms and Tees for my 6 Football teams) and He has cleared our design for the Cruise Embarkation T shirt - These will be silk screened and will look wonderful ... We will only be doing White as it will be Hot Hot Hot when we leave Barcelona , ( I was going to do Black but we opted against it)
So , below is the design for the Front and Back of the Official TransAtlantic Pirates Embarkation T-Shirt - - Cost should be 12.00 dollars per shirt , maybe less plus shipping charge .... .... So without further ado , Here is the Design

Cruise Banner (logo) for signature lines
Thar be many a crew asking me if they can be adding the cruise banner to there signature , And I figured I wouldnt keep it all to me onesies so here be three different sizes you can be adding to your signature line , Beware , those crewmates that dont be adding it could find themselves walking the plank come Sept 2010 ...Savvy ??
Instructions to add Banner to signature line Thanks Tia
Right click the size logo that you want and select properties. Copy the link then go to User CP and Edit Signature. Using the little yellow square (looks like a picture of mountains) above the signature box, paste the link that you copies from the photo properties. Make sure you don't get 2 http entries. Instead of using the yellow box, you can just type then paste the link and end with - no spaces in between the brackets and the link.

Where to get Adult Beverages before the cruise in Barcelona
Before the 2007 TA, we discovered the wine shop in El Corte Ingles, which is a department store located at the top of Las Ramblas. The wine department is on the lower level, in the grocery store. The selection is fabulous, and the prices incredible!

Barcelona Accommodations List
Color Coding Translation:
The first five columns are grouped into colors based on the specific location of a night's accommodations.
The Arrival Date column is color coded by date. This same color coding is used on the Inbound Barcelona Flight Schedule List for dates of arrival into Barcelona. This makes it easier to cross-reference for whatever coordination you want to work out with fellow DISers, if it be to meet up for ground transportation, dining, or whatever else comes to mind that's legal! :rotfl:
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa55/Buckeye_Gal_OH/DCL%202010%20WB%20Trans-Atlantic/Hotel%20Roll%20Calls/ALLHotelRollCall0619-715pmPt1.jpg
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa55/Buckeye_Gal_OH/DCL%202010%20WB%20Trans-Atlantic/Hotel%20Roll%20Calls/ALLHotelRollCall0619-715pmPt2.jpg
INBOUND BARCELONA FLIGHT SCHEDULES
Color Coding Translation:
Where applicable, the first five columns are color coded in groups of travelers who have close to or exact departure date/times at the same airport. In some cases, these DISers may be on the same flight, or at the very least, you will likely be at the airport at the same time. So if you are in the same terminal, you may want to hook up for a mini-DIS meets! :grouphug:
The Arriving Airport column only has coloring (of DIS green) for Barcelona. Used with the Arrival Date/Time fields, this will to help identify those who will be at the BCN airport around the same time.
Arrival Date and Arrival Time fields have a color that corresponds to the color of Arrival Date on the Barcelona Accommodations List. This is to more easily cross-reference who will be headed to the same place on the same day when you arrive to our embarkation city. :woohoo: Again, this is to help facilitate anyone wanting to coordinate ground transportation :car: or if they simply want to give a hello :wave2: down at Customs/baggage claim.

Hi Everyone!
Here are the current FE groups. There are now 4 closed out groups (Papaya, Kiwi, Pineapple and Pomegranate) and one open list (Coconuts).
The coconut group will remail open until it reaches 15 cabins. At that point, it will be closed and a new group will be open.

Secret Mickey
Welcome to the WBTA Secret Mickey:
This works along the same idea as a Secret Santa. Each participating stateroom will be matched with another stateroom, and the idea is to buy or make a gift or gifts, with a total cost per cabin of no more than $25. The gift (s) can be one big joint gift for all those in the stateroom, or small individual gifts for each person. The gifts can be left in the FE during the cruise, or you can have the room attendant put the gift in the room. You should have a tag/card that designates it as a gift from their Secret Mickey.
To enable me to match up the rooms, I will need the following information from each participating group:
1. name of participants
2. ages and genders of any children participating
3. DIS name
4. cabin number
5. each person's likes or preferences
6. each person's dislikes
7. any allergies
8. favourite Disney characters for each participant
9. hobbies or interests of each participant
This will help give the participants some idea of what they can incorporate into their gift.
Could you please PM TotallyAngelic with the information required.
There will have to be a closing date to give people time to think about and make / buy their gifts, and I think July 1st would be about right.

Postcard Exchange
The idea is that anyone who wants to sign up delivers a postcard per stateroom from their home town or area. In return they get a postcard from each of the other participants, giving people a chance to collect postcards from all over the world (and learn a bit about these countries).

If anyone would like to be added to this list please PM. Basically it is a list of people who would like Disers to stop by if they get a second to help them out with something. This was suggested by Kimberley (Buckeye Gal) and is a way for people to remember the trip. Some previous uses were:
Signing personalised scrapbook pages for people
Marking maps for children so they can use them either in a school project or for scrapbooking

So, since I can't air out in another forum, I have a pickle of a situation that I don't know how to handle. Maybe someone far wiser than I can make me see the light.
I have a niece and nephew that as soon as they come into my house will go up and down opening my shutters and or opening the refrigerator and looking and then they go and ask mom for whatever I have. Let me state - I don't mind sharing anything I have, my problem is that they come in opening up my drawers and then run to their mom and ask if they can have this. Yesterday for instance, I caught my niece in the kitchen opening and moving my fridge magnets. I asked her not to do that. I even asked her not to open the fridge, to go and find something to do. (We were holding a Relay For Life Meeting). She is 5 yrs old and is advanced for her age. She ignored me and while I was playing hostess, she went and asked her mom if she could have a string cheese. These are special ones that are in the back of the bottom drawer underneath something so they are not in plain sight. I heard this and before I could answer, her mom said - did you open the fridge by yourself or did April (my DD) do it? Her answer was: I did it - I was hungry and wanted something to eat. Her mom told her she could and I was a bit put off by this. So I told her, No, I asked you NOT to do that - this is my house and I have different rules and if she could not listen to my rules, she would not be allowed into my house like her brother was banned for 2 months for stealing (granted it was only $0.50) but stealing is stealing.
My friends and family are split. SIL says that she does it all the time at grandma's house and made it seem as if this was ok but this is my house. Was or is it just me? Did I overreact? I ended up giving the string cheese to her but I wasn't happy about it. Right after, my niece was happy for about 3 minutes and then went off in search of my cabinets. :headache: I am wondering what kind of grandparent I am going to be and if I overreacted? Am I just an obsessed, crazy adult that doesn't like kids? I will be the first to help someone out but when it comes to nieces and nephews, I can't get them to listen to me AT MY OWN HOUSE. Hence, the reason I suspect that I hardly invite family over. If I react this way to toddlers now, what will I be like when my own grandchildren come? Should I lower my standards? I felt a bit justified later when my youngest told me I shouldn't have given in but April's known to not get along with little girls - guess its an Aries thing. :rotfl: Anyway, it still bothers me today and since I can't post it elsewhere (mom is a friend) had to air out here. Someone tell me that I'm not being a neurotic or that I'm justified or at least convince me that I need to loosen up and go with the flow......am I

You are not neurotic or wrong. I have 6 Gk's and while I respect my children's rules in their houses, in my house the kids live by GRANDMA's rules.
I would simply talk to her and tell her if she can't live with your rules, you won't allow the kids to come over. If you don't get this resolved now, it is only going to get worse as the kids get older. Not to mention the fact that already they are getting the message from their mother that they do not have to respect you or your rules. These kids are going to have problems with boundaries at other people's houses if this is not nipped in the bud.
Just my thoughts...

Hey Crazy Aunt in SoCal!! You are not crazy! I believe your sister is the one that's crazy. I would be mortified if either of my DS's had opened a cabinet or refrigerator in anyone elses home without asking permission! Even at my mom's (who spoils them rotten), they might mention they are hungry and then she might tell them to see what they can find but they would ask first.
I would consider that proper manners.

Ok, So I am a mother of 7 and 9 year old girls.
This is a tough one, My kids know the boundaries in others houses. They know that when we go somewhere new they are to respect others property, they are not to ask for anything, they are to wait till they have been offered something and they are to play quietly (I usually take their Ipods).
BUT... they also have learnt there are different boundaries at different peoples houses, they are welcome to help themselves at my sisters house (much to my disgust, because it is always stocked with sweets!), and they are also allowed to help themselves at my parents. They have certain items at my PIL that are 'free' items that they don't have to ask for, anything other than those they must wait to be offered.
But, Kids will be kids and they are not perfect. Please don't get upset with the kids if they don't know any better.
It is your SIL responsibility to teach her kids to respect others belongings, and in my view that is what this is about. Just don't let this come in between you and your family. Lighten up a little. It's not worth getting your knickers in a knot about. There are far more serious problems in the world! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes
I just edited to add, I didn't set the boundaries at my sisters or parents house, they did. What I was trying to say is, it's their house, their boundaries, hence YOUR house, YOUR rules!

Sue, I highly recommend the 360 restaurant in the CN tower (although it is a bit expensive). While you're up there, take the opportunity to walk out on the glass floor - it's an experience that can't be missed! :scared1:

While I don't have kids, I do have nieces and nephews. They know its our house, our rules. They know to ask before even looking for something.
I'm trying to figure out the dining rotation. Is this right, my options are APL, PLA or LAP? I like to know where we are eating on what night.

You are not crazy! I know kids can be kids, but the one thing I cannot stand is lack of respect. I let Abby have friends over and they can have fun, play, etc. but when they are not respectful of my house, I do get very upset. I think you need to talk to your SIL. I agree with Noel!! My house, my rules. I don't think your rules are unfair or unjustified, they are your rules. Don't feel bad but don't let it come between you and family. I am one for communication - express your feelings.

IMHO...Nope, you did not overreact. It seems like your niece and nephew are having a hard time with boundaries and the fact that you are asking them to respect your boundaries will benefit them in the long run.

I would be appaled if my son had behaves that way. I have 9 GK's and I make it clear that respect is the foundation for life. I think your SIL would be wise to teach her children that before one day they are asked to leave a friends house because they are rude. I, too, am a firm believer in communication. Good Luck!

At the risk of being asked to walk the plank...I am not happy with the change in themes at dinner. No offense to you pirate lovers out there, but now they have moved pirate night to my birthday.:sad2:
I was hoping for a semi or formal night.
I guess on a good note I will at least have fireworks.

"I am trying to plan a work trip to Toronto. I will be going end of June or after the 4th of July holiday. I will be there about 2.5 - 3 days. My days are booked with work, but wondering about weather, and if there are any must do;s that can be done in the evenings. I don't think that the Loblaw folks will care if I don't sit in the hotel... Ofcourse, I can just DIS all night..."
Sue, I highly recommend the 360 restaurant in the CN tower (although it is a bit expensive). While you're up there, take the opportunity to walk out on the glass floor - it's an experience that can't be missed! :scared1:
I second the CN tower, especially if you only have evenings and it isn't very time consuming and fun.
I also recommend Chinatown (north of Spadina/Queen), Greektown (east of Danforth/Pape), the AGO, the ROM, and Harbourfront/Toronto Islands. I don't care much for the Eaton Centre (just a large mall).
Toronto has terrific food. I really like the Cora's chain of restaurants (breakfast and lunch only). There is a great Ethiopian place I like that is tasty and really different.
Anyhow, hope that is helpful.

Your house is YOUR house. I would say you are in charge and if they cannot abide by your rules, then they stay home. What if they had gone into a drawer that had sharp things in them? Who would they blame??
What if they then started to go thru your purse??? I really get paranoid when there are people peeking into things in my house they have no reason to be near. I know that is weird but that is just me.
Maybe you could have a special drawer that they had permission to open and choose something to play with. I have had a few friends who had that set up because children coming in were just a little too nosey and things got broken.

Well i had my MRI today. Did not get the results yet. That had to be the most pain this I have did in a while. Had to lay on my back with my arm above my head for the 40 minute i was in the machine. They had my arm in a harness that i could not move it. By the end of the MRI I was in a tons of pain i was in tears. They had to help me out of the room. After that i had to sit in the room for 20 min until the pain went down. I hope i never have to that again. I hope the result show i don't need surgery. I let you guys know as so as i do.

:surfweb:
You are not crazy! I know kids can be kids, but the one thing I cannot stand is lack of respect. I let Abby have friends over and they can have fun, play, etc. but when they are not respectful of my house, I do get very upset. I think you need to talk to your SIL. I agree with Noel!! My house, my rules. I don't think your rules are unfair or unjustified, they are your rules. Don't feel bad but don't let it come between you and family. I am one for communication - express your feelings.
As others have said, it is YOUR house. It is the mother's problem though, not the children. Tell her the options are: she makes them obey your rules; you make them obey your rules; or they don't visit in your home. Family visits will be at their home. 5 years old is not a toddler....

Stephen - Sorry to hear about the pain you're going through. If it helps to know that you're not alone, we have a friend who has his arm and shoulder immobilized in a sling for 9 months (I think he's 3 months into is so far)! Hopefully they find a less painful solution than the MRI was, and you have a speedy recovery.
Does anyone need any baby and toddler shoes, and other baby stuff? I spent the weekend getting my website updated to sell all of the shoes that my kids have outgrown. At one point I had 110 pairs of kids shoes (60 boy and 50 girl pairs) posted for sale! Also selling diaper bags, blankets, and other misc stuff. If anyone wants to take a look, send me a message and I'll send you the address to the site with the pictures and details. Sizes run from size 0 Infant to size 9.5 US sizing, and EU sizing 19 - 25 (I actually have some new boy shoes in sizes EU 27, 28 & 29 to post still).

I tried to go back and read what I'd missed in the old thread over the past several days, but there was just way to much stuff.
But I saw lots of posts about the Mickey Bars, and just wanted to share how my friends like to eat them, which really works out good. When you order a Mickey Bar for dessert in the restaurant, ask for some Raspberry sauce as well. The Mickey Bar will generally arrive in a bowl with Raspberry Sauce poured over it. The combo of that raspberry sauce and the dark chocolate shell of the Mickey Bar is incredible! I had another friend who finally gave it a try on the last night of our cruise, and declared it the most delicious dessert she'd had the whole week! For the kids they'll add sprinkles as well if you like, but they don't do anything for me.
TA2 - I saw a post about some new outfits for your stuffed friend. Princess Bunny got a new Sleeping Beauty/Aurora dress for this cruise so she's ready to go!

I'm reviving the conversation regarding the new t-shirt idea that I believe Todd brought up at the end of Chapter 5.
I think this would be awesome to see several people wearing the same design one night just as they'll see many of us with our matching embarkation shirts. The impact in the dining room, Studio Sea, The Stack, and Beat Street would be exciting to me.
I noticed that in addition to the Mickey Mouse Club shirt (which I LOVE), they also have Steamboat Willie that of course would be very cool for a picture in the lobby! (Also, I didn't realize they have a font called "Guest Check" that is nearly identical to DCL's font.)
So the question is are there enough of us to make it worth buying to go matchy-matchy? Can our friends outside of the US purchase online at www.DisneyShopping.com? If there aren't enough of us interested, obviously the impact isn't there, thus not really worth coordinating.
Thoughts? :confused3
PS: They currently have a promo for free shipping of your entire order if you purchase adult clothing or accessories. Promo Code = KIDatHEART. I also use MrRebates.com to get a rebate on many of my purchases, including DisneyShopping.

I don't need any, but had a chuckle when I read this because of the biggest size you have. My son's first pair of shoes, at 8 months, was an 8 EE. I could never put shoes on him before this because none of the baby shoes fit. When he was close to taking a step I figured I needed to get him some shoes. Now at age 14, he wears a size 15. I joke with him that I'll have to buy him Shaq's old shoes soon.

Regarding the Mickey shirts. I think it would be fun to plan our own Club night.
I actually made my shirts last time. One of our cruisers found a high resolution file of the logo which I printed onto transfer paper and ironed onto my shirt.
Todd purchased his shirts from Zazzle.com (not Disneystore, they didn't have them back then). The zazzle ones are cool because you can choose the placement of the logo and put it higher or lower on the front and you control the placement and font of the name on your back.

Looks like Zazzle is comparable in price, but they have shipping charges...yet...it appears today only they have a Father's Day special for $4 off! Very nice to have options.
Just wanted to note that DisneyShopping.com's MM Club shirts also allow you to move the logo and personalized text as well. In fact, you can even choose what font you desire!

Night 3 – Gibraltar Night 2 - At Sea
Night 8 – At Sea Night 7 - At Sea
Semi-Formal Night:
Night 13 – At Sea Night 13 - Hey they agree on this one
Pirate Night:
Night 9 – At Sea Night 11 - St Maarten
Theme Night:
Night 7 – At Sea Night 8 - At Sea
Oh now I don't know what date to go with the Palo booking, night 11 or night 9?
Hoagie Pie - Yep I got the same as you! Very odd
Got2travel - On St Maarten day mind we have to be back on the boat at 5 so there is some time to get ready then

I wish they would confirm these dates one way or another as it is so confusing .... I really want to book Palo on the evening when we are rotational in Lumieres, as that was the least appealing menu last time ..... I don' really have a clue though which night that will be, so I will just have to guess it really and then try and change it once we are on board :confused3:confused3

To be honest I can see both sides. I don't think its right and I think that they should be tought to respect other people's things. Just because its OK in one place doesn't make it OK everywhere though and children should be taught that. I would talk to her and explain it all again, just saying that this is how it works in your house and that whether or not her child does it elsewhere doesn't make it acceptable. I don't see why anyone would not think that was OK?

Well i had my MRI today. Did not get the results yet. That had to be the most pain this I have did in a while. Had to lay on my back with my arm above my head for the 40 minute i was in the machine. They had my arm in a harness that i could not move it. By the end of the MRI I was in a tons of pain i was in tears. They had to help me out of the room. After that i had to sit in the room for 20 min until the pain went down. I hope i never have to that again. I hope the result show i don't need surgery. I let you guys know as so as i do.

I guess this is what well have to go through! All of us will be changing things lol Maybe if 2 of us may want the same nights we can do a swapsie onboard.
If anyone wants to swap a night at sea (night 9) for St Maarten night depending on when Pirate night is, I want ours on Pirate night! We are going for a 6pm slot probably - or as early as possible.

Your house, your rules. My grandkids wouldn't go in my fridge or cupboards. To be honest I don't think their parents would allow that in any home but their own.
Having said that, a bit of a funny! My daughter and family(4 children, then all under 9:eek:) went to our son's house where they had just had a baby. My daughter's second son, then aged 7, and a bit of a live wire but loveable(still is) was allowed to film with our son's camcorder. Off he went while everyone chatted and cuddled baby. When he showed what he had filmed, there were views all over the house inside of drawers(including our DIL's underwear drawer) he had opened, and a view down their ensuite toilet!!!! He was told off strongly, but of course we all had a huge laugh!!!
Mmmm, perhaps I should now go back and edit my first paragraph and say all my grandkids but one!!!!:rolleyes1

Hi and welcome.
At the risk of being asked to walk the plank...I am not happy with the change in themes at dinner. No offense to you pirate lovers out there, but now they have moved pirate night to my birthday.:sad2:
I was hoping for a semi or formal night.
I guess on a good note I will at least have fireworks.
Just my thoughts
Don't worry just yet, it will probably change a few times!!!!!

Oh Stephen. How awful. :sad2: I'm so sorry, and I certainly hope you don't have to have surgery, but if that's what it takes to get you back to normal, then in some regard, it will be a relief to know.
I can't get on the US site at all. It keeps defaulting to the UK site.

Just had a look at Zazzle and I can get on there no problem. Just need to make sure that they ship to the UK if we decide to go ahead.

:cool1: Three months to go before the start of our vacation. :cool1:
Now to bring back the trivia questions. The last questions that I asked were:
#1What musical instrument does Mickey Mouse use a cow’s udder as, in Steamboat Willie?
Answer: Well, according to Trivia Pursuit it is Bagpipes. However, after getting a couple different answers I watched the movie. I couldn't find the scen of Mickey playing "bagpipes" on a cow's udder. He does play a "keyboard" on the cows teeth, and "bagpipes" on a nursing pig.
It's bad enough that you can't believe everything on the internet (sorry for spoiling this for some people :lmao:) but know you can't trust Trivia Pursuit.
#2 What percent of Walt Disney Productions did Walt Disney and his wife own before going public – 60, 80, or 100?
Answer: This one is correct, no arguement. The answer is 60.
New questions:
#1 Which of the Seven Dwarfs has the biggest nose?
#2 What kind of cheese does Mickey Mouse eat in the castle, in Mickey and the Beanstalk?
Please PM answers.

Just wanted to note that DisneyShopping.com's MM Club shirts also allow you to move the logo and personalized text as well. In fact, you can even choose what font you desire!

Greetings from foggy, wet, and humid (so out of place) San Francisco.
I am hoping to me more active now that I leave in 3 months for Barcelona. I need to really start locking things in. Last night Kimmy and I talked and got our 10-day excursions all figured out (as we can book them on 6/10). Next up are the 14-day ones (booking on 6/20 - however not sure if we will do many from Disney) and then Barcelona.
I still need to book a return flight from MCO-SFO for 10/3. My daily email shows prices dropped from $170-$144 but that is probably for the early (7am) flights - after this post it is off to Kayak to check.
I sent and email to my TA yesterday after all the posting about theme nights as well as to request our bed to be split so it is 2 singles, note that we are 2 separate parties rooming together to try to get 2 of anything they leave (I know it is a long shot, but figured it can't hurt), to ask when the best time is to link for dinning (which btw they said is the last thing Disney does and should wait till after everyone gets a room assignment as they will try to put your rooms next to one another and could impact the chances of complimentary upgrades), and little things like that. Here is what I got for the dinner rotations (I think this matches the info from the concierge):
Day 3 Formal Night
Day 7 Theme Night
Day 8 Formal Night
Day 9 Pirate Night
Day 13 Semi-Formal Night
Seems like the Day 3 and 9 are the big questions if they are correct. Day 7 & 8 were just flip flopped from what I had noted which is not that big of a deal to me. But I do have to agree that Day 3 vs. Day 2 for Formal is just strange. For any of you on the B2B they did confirm I have the 10 day correct so will go post on the thread if anyone is interested in seeing it.
Formal Night:
Night 3 – Gibraltar Night 2 - At Sea
Night 8 – At Sea Night 7 - At Sea
Semi-Formal Night:
Night 13 – At Sea Night 13 - Hey they agree on this one
Pirate Night:
Night 9 – At Sea Night 11 - St Maarten
Theme Night:
Night 7 – At Sea Night 8 - At Sea
This is what I just got from DCL via email. Hopefully it's correct and it matches the last post also.

Ok I should probably get some work done today.
We did Southwest on the day it opened up for $125 each. Cheapest now is the 8 AM for $208. Priceline has Air Tran one way for $149 if that helps.
Just my thoughts...

Oh Stephen. How awful. :sad2: I'm so sorry, and I certainly hope you don't have to have surgery, but if that's what it takes to get you back to normal, then in some regard, it will be a relief to know.

I can't get on the US site at all. It keeps defaulting to the UK site....Just had a look at Zazzle and I can get on there no problem. Just need to make sure that they ship to the UK if we decide to go ahead.
Corinna
I hope you can get Zazzle to ship, Corinna. I did look at the UK site for DisneyShopping, and was disappointed they didn't have the shirts there. :guilty: I did notice after posting last night that when you use the Disney site, the page actually says "powered by Zazzle", and the URL includes Zazzle. Another example of outsourcing! :rotfl:
Yes I have seen those (10" marshmallow rice treats)....I've never actually gotten on, though, because I have poor impulse control and would probably eat the whole thing in one sitting and then feel like someone ran me over with a truck because I would be so stuffed!:rotfl2: ....Jason and I are doing our local AIDS Walk tomorrow...
I once had a manager who told me she ate one whole pan of Rice Krispie treats that she made, and ended up in the emergency room that night! All the marshmallow goodness in her tummy wasn't digesting as it needed to!
I hope you have great weather for the walk tomorrow!
The Font we used last time was Imperial ...... It really looked good

Thanks for telling me, Todd! I'll check it out. I definitely want a font more traditional/retro.
I'm going to make the Mickey Mouse Club ::MickeyMo t-shirt purchase, so I hope I won't be alone! (hint, hint, nudge, nudge) ;) The proper displaying of the name is on the back, right?
Make it a great day/weekend everyone!

Really? That's odd they told you about that for linking dining. We've linked dining with friends on every cruise we've been on since 1997 and it's never ever impacted the room locations for GTY guests or anything to my knowledge---although I can't really say whether it's impacted complimentary upgrades....I don't suppose you or anyone you linked to would know you didn't get one of those if you don't get one, huh? :lmao: Like when you check in they probably don't say, "Welcome! We were GOING to upgrade you to a nicer cabin but then we saw that you were linked to eat dinner with cabin so-and-so so we decided not to!" :rotfl2:
So did they say when exactly to do dining linking if you want to do so?

Stephen- sorry to hear that MRI was so painful.
Erik & Jason- Is it too late to donate?
This is what I just got from DCL via email. Hopefully it's correct and it matches the last post also.
*Nights 2 & 7: "formal night"
*Night 8: "theme night"
*Night 11: pirate night with deck party
*Night 13: "semi-formal night"
You guys are toying with my emotions:rolleyes:

They are regular pretzel rods, but the top 2/3 of the stick is covered in chocolate and other toppings like caramel, nuts, chocolate chips, white chocolate. They're wonderful!
Oh my goodness, they sound delicious! I've put on weight just thinking about them! ;)
I'd just like to send out a public thanks to the folks who have read in my signature that Jason and I are doing our local AIDS Walk tomorrow and have PMed me to find out how to donate to our cause. It really means a lot to have so many supportive and giving friends, some that we haven't even officially met yet, here on the DIS! I have already raised over $2600 or tomorrow's event and, right now, I'm the top fundraising walker which makes me very proud!:grouphug:

Michael - so sorry to hear about the MRI. Hang in there and I am sure you will know something by Monday.
Kimberly, would it be possible to post the Mickey Mouse Club T-shirts again. I don't know who did that last time or if we can go back to an old post. Abby has no idea what this is and would love to show her. I might be interested, if she jumps on board :)
Erik - LOVE the pretzels but didn't know anyone loved them but me! I am glad I know someone else. I think the Rice Krispy bars are too sweet. I do eat it though but try to stay away. I wish they served the pretzels before a show.
It is so funny how many different formal and informal, pirate info we are getting. I really find it odd that Disney would do a formal night when we are in port. I still say, they are not thinking about our cruise as much as we are. I believe the "little birdie" to be correct.
I was told on our Double Dip to not put the staterooms together because you might not get a DCL upgrade. We did put them together - no upgrade. This cruise I am going with my MIL Goofy Granny, but told my Travel Agent to NOT put us hooked up. Disney will look at that and say I am with her, why would I want to be on Deck 6 or 7 if she is 2 or vice versa. Since the Double Dip, I have not had my ressies linked even though we have been with friends. I heard this from a "little birdie" also.
I have to vent my frustration with this oil leak. I am not talking politically because I believe that should not be talked about among friends - that is why we are friends, :grouphug:but if I see one more dead turtle or black pelican on the beach, I am going to scream. I LOVE the beach and I can sit there all day so I am just venting frustration - Thank You!!!

She said to no later than 1 week prior. But I would not push it out that far, maybe a month prior is my furthest comfort zone? Especially since in our situation we are doing the B2B. I don't have a cabin number yet for the 10-day (since we upgraded for a refund) and I would love to get an upgrade from my Deck 2 Cat 10 for the 14-day. :)

Thanks - I looked at SW as well when they came out, but has not been any less than others. I need a late flight back on Sunday night, so that is what is causing me problems. Delta had a great sale months back and I could kick myself for not booking (it was like $120). So it looks like I will be doing an AirTran flight that night ($170 plus luggage fees and seat assignment fees), but just watching and waiting till closer (maybe end of July) as the last thing I want to do is use a "discount" airline and have them go bellyup like has happened to some on here already.

I didn't see the delta flights but got for the additional $10 each the guaranteed seats so we don't have to panic about checking in on SW. DH has had some issues with Delta and flights so we try not to book it if at all possible.

I guess on a good note I will at least have fireworks.

I would hope for that too
Well i had my MRI today.

Jason (& Eric) - we're doing the B2B with AbD. I've been looking for postings from Dissers who have completed their AbD Med cruise, but haven't seen any yet. We're traveling with another couple on the Med cruise, and my sister and her DH will join us for this cruise. Regarding linking before booking excursions. If you are linked then only 1 of the linked reservations can be accessed at a time. So at midnight, if I'm the first one to sign into my reservation, then no one else I'm linked with can log in to book their Palo, excursions, etc until I'm done. Good for me, bad for you. LOL.
As for upgrades, when you are linked, they will not upgrade you any higher than the highest category that is currently booked in your linked party. So if you have a bunch of 10's and 11's linked, no one is going to get an oceanview or balcony. Now take this with a grain of salt, as we've seen, DCL policy changes based on who you talk to.

Ok we are NOT booking Palo - If anyone would like us to book a night for them so they can swap later I will be glad to - we are gold so we book next. Just send me a note.

Ok I have just decided - I am not going to worry about what days are when - there are so many days that Palo and things are easily changed around once on board. I will bring my formal clothes and where them the next night after my servers tell me tomorrow night is formal night :)

So did they say when exactly to do dining linking if you want to do so?
We had near disaster the first time we linked with other DISers. It was the first 10 day southern Caribbean. We were assigned late dining but wanted to try early so we were waitlisted. We then linked dining with other DISers - nearly a hundred of them. We got a call 2 days prior to the cruise and were told that we AND EVERYONE linked with us had been moved to early dining!! :scared1: We had to unlink from all of them, get moved to early, then relink with the early dining DIS group. Luckily, DCL was able to assist with that on the phone. :upsidedow
We will want to wait to link dining once everyone has their Palo ressies made. I can't remember the reason exactly why but that is what we've had to do for past DVC Member cruises.
The reason is, only one person in each party (a party is those you are linked with) is able to be online booking at one time. We learned that lesson on the WBPC in 2008. It was a nightmare for all of us!
So...how do you guarantee that you get the same rotation and are seated together for meals if you do not link with your friends? I think it will be fine to wait until much nearer the cruise to link, after most if not all rooms are assigned.

Just wanted to mention that I noticed on Zazzle's site that they have two versions of the Mickey Mouse Club t-shirt.
If you are in the US (not sure about Canada), here are ways to save money on your order. Apparently buying from Zazzle directly only had the $4 off t-shirt special for June 3 only because the special has changed today.
www.DisneyStore.com (http://www.disneystore.com/tees-mickey-mouse-club-you-design-it-tee-for-adults/p/1239031/305603/):
Free shipping of entire order with purchase of adult clothing or accessories.
PROMO CODE: KIDatHEART; expires June 8
Utilize rebate sites like MrRebates.com (http://www.mrrebates.com?refid=274497) or Ebates.com (http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=C9IHmugQn8KU6cMhuWkO3g%3D%3D) to get a 5% rebate return on your purchase. I use these sites all the time. It's great "free" money"! Just note that you have to go to these rebates sites first, and then link to DisneyStore.com directly from their site in order to get the credit.
I'm off to make my purchase on Disney's site, and per the Captain's orders, I'll get my name in a BIG font like Destin's! :rotfl:

Anyone else in northern CA want to join us?
Totally interested... I will put in my calendar and ping you in a week and half. Maybe I can finally return your costume that is sitting on top of my dresser and find something for myself (plus don't think I can get in it again I think I am bit heavier this time around).
While I don't have kids, I do have nieces and nephews. They know its our house, our rules. They know to ask before even looking for something.
:headache: , you are SO correct, your house.
IMHO...Nope, you did not overreact. It seems like your niece and nephew are having a hard time with boundaries and the fact that you are asking them to respect your boundaries will benefit them in the long run.
Krista
I would be appaled if my son had behaves that way. I have 9 GK's and I make it clear that respect is the foundation for life. I think your SIL would be wise to teach her children that before one day they are asked to leave a friends house because they are rude. I, too, am a firm believer in communication. Good Luck!
You are not over reacting. In our house it is our house, our rules and all the kids know it. I think your sister needs to set boundries for her kids and teach them how to behave in other people's homes.
:surfweb:
Hey Crazy Aunt in SoCal!! You are not crazy! I believe your sister is the one that's crazy. I would be mortified if either of my DS's had opened a cabinet or refrigerator in anyone elses home without asking permission! Even at my mom's (who spoils them rotten), they might mention they are hungry and then she might tell them to see what they can find but they would ask first.
I would consider that proper manners.
I agree 100%. It is things like this that would make me mad.
As others have said, it is YOUR house. It is the mother's problem though, not the children. Tell her the options are: she makes them obey your rules; you make them obey your rules; or they don't visit in your home. Family visits will be at their home. 5 years old is not a toddler...
Thank you all for your input. I know that I was pretty strict on my kids and sometimes I'm know I'm accused of being too tough so I wasn't sure. I don't feel so bad now and next time she's here - I will get down to her level and explain again. Its hard because she's the "baby" and pretty much does what she wants so I have to be careful how I speak with them. But at least I know that I can be steered right by my DIS friends! :hippie:
I don't need any, but had a chuckle when I read this because of the biggest size you have. My son's first pair of shoes, at 8 months, was an 8 EE. I could never put shoes on him before this because none of the baby shoes fit. When he was close to taking a step I figured I needed to get him some shoes. Now at age 14, he wears a size 15. I joke with him that I'll have to buy him Shaq's old shoes soon.
Goodness Monica - how big was T? I'm Sorry.
You are not at all crazy .... your sister should make sure that her kids respect your boundaries in your home and it is all about manners ... I would be mortified if my kids had ever gone rummaging in other people's cupboards and refrigerator without permission. I think you need to have a quiet word with your sister.
So sorry to hear about your experience, it really sounds terribly painful and I hope things start to improve soon :hug:
To be honest I can see both sides. I don't think its right and I think that they should be tought to respect other people's things. Just because its OK in one place doesn't make it OK everywhere though and children should be taught that. I would talk to her and explain it all again, just saying that this is how it works in your house and that whether or not her child does it elsewhere doesn't make it acceptable. I don't see why anyone would not think that was OK?
Ooopss - forgot these two - thank you my friends!

Thoughts? :confused3
We're in for the shirts, If I can find some more luggage space, argh!!! We can order from DisneyShopping but the postage is an absolute killer, Like $25 for 1 shirt! I will check on Zazzle. :thumbsup2
I actually made my shirts last time. One of our cruisers found a high resolution file of the logo which I printed onto transfer paper and ironed onto my shirt.
This will be our option if the postage is too high from Zazzle, Does anyone have the image now?
No, don't sweat the petty stuff. And don't pet the sweaty stuff! :thumbsup2
Love it! That should be our mantra, People take stuff so seriously. :goodvibes
I once had a manager who told me she ate one whole pan of Rice Krispie treats that she made, and ended up in the emergency room that night! All the marshmallow goodness in her tummy wasn't digesting as it needed to!
I'm going to make the Mickey Mouse Club ::MickeyMo t-shirt purchase, so I hope I won't be alone! (hint, hint, nudge, nudge) ;) The proper displaying of the name is on the back, right?
Make it a great day/weekend everyone!
That would be me with the Rice krispies! No self control! :rotfl2:
You won't be alone with the shirts, Us DISer's wouldn't let anyone be alone! :thumbsup2
Erik - LOVE the pretzels but didn't know anyone loved them but me! I am glad I know someone else. I think the Rice Krispy bars are too sweet. I do eat it though but try to stay away. I wish they served the pretzels before a show.
Great, Now I have another fattening item to get addicted to while I'm at WDW, The list is getting longer - Beignets, Dole Whip, Taffy, Churros', Mickey biscuit ice-creams, Mickey heads, Key Lime Pie and now choc pretzels! :cool1:
The oil leak really is a disaster. Poor, innocent sea life, Makes me so sad. :sad2::sad2::sad2:

Good explanation--she'd been trying to get DH to tell her exactly when he could leave work to fly over and while she was waiting the prices increased $800 per person! Then he decided that was just too much and they needed to back out. Oh well.
I've almost lost my EBTA weight. Been working out every day. Now understand, we are not talking miracles here--I'm still fat, just a little less fat. It's way too hot these days to do yard work; that's my other effort.
This gang is SO organized. I'll be more into it when I have DD settled in her new college (or at least thru registration!)

I have to apologize to Stephen for calling him Michael! My mind has been all over the place and that is no excuse! Hopefully you are feeling a little better now and I will never call you Michael again! Didn't read all the posts yet, went to dinner with Goofy Granny and she told me what I did and I was sick to my stomach!!! UGH! Okay, back to reading the boards.
Don't Feel bad - I called Kimberly Sarah somehow - but all is well and good Huh Sa...Kimberly? :lmao: :teeth:
We're in for the shirts, If I can find some more luggage space, argh!!! We can order from DisneyShopping but the postage is an absolute killer, Like $25 for 1 shirt! I will check on Zazzle. :thumbsup2
This will be our option if the postage is too high from Zazzle, Does anyone have the image now?
Just a thought but if you can wait for the t-shirts, I can probably stuff them in my suitcase and bring them to Barcelona for you? That's an option and should save you a bunch on shipping. Just letting you know....
as long as I don't see swimming fishes I will be fine!
Krisann
No swimming fishes - I saw a swimming Mickey earlier today when I was trying to access Palo's but it lasted only about 1 minute. So Hopefully you all will have the same fast result. Much better than hours anyway.
I tried to sit down with my DH but he was to interested in the tv... he is along for the ride also....I finally told him that I would let him know when and where to be!! :lmao: I picked out 3 excursions also.....hope they are good!!
See your learning - I no longer give DH an option - he's just along for the ride. I'll tell him the night we board and he gets to see the tickets. Otherwise - in one ear out the other. :lmao: After all, same family tree right? ;)

Yes, my kids both have small feet. But DH and I are both on the short side, so they have little hope of height.
Right...I knew that much but I assumed that once everyone had done their Palo and excursion ressies that you'd be fine.....and the last group gets to do it at 75 days right? or is tehre a group that has to wait until even closer?
There are two ways in which you can link reservations. Fully linking reservations (like you would do for family) gives you full access to each other's reservation, only lets one person from the linked group be in the cruise activity section of the website at a time, and gives you the opportunity to book excursions, etc. for people in the linked rooms. I don't recommend doing that for anyone other than family or very close friends, and don't do it before the excursion booking date unless you have one designated person responsible for booking Palo and excursions for everyone (this has fallen on me in the past for my family and friends travelling with us.)
You can also requested to be linked or associated for dining purposes only. This is what will caused you to be seated with or near someone else. You need to be agreed on the same dining time since they will do what they need to do to move you all to the same time and rotation as someone mentioned earlier. This is a great way to help a friend get off the waitlist say for early dining. If you have early dining, and they are waitlisted, linking their reservation to yours for dining purposes would give them a priority bump to the top of the waitlist.
Good look to everyone booking soon. Please save some things for the rest of us!

I am sitting here in my nightie. I just read the DCL web site.
*An adult from the stateroom in which a child is booked must retrieve that stateroom's reservation to register the child online.
Can they see how old I am? Should I go put on a bathrobe? :rotfl2:
:lmao: reminds me of a recent Gene Simmons Family Jewels episode, they taught Gene how to Skype but he still didn't quite get it. He call from his hotel room with only a bathrobe on. Then his room service showed up and he got up to answer the door, not realizing that certain body parts would be right in front of the webcam. :sad2:

As for the DH's, your my kind of gal! My husband gets the run down of what we're doing when we get on the plane. I put all our flight details on his iPhone so he know what dates we'll be gone. And that's all the info he gets, or wants, he's happy for me to do it so he doesn't have to think about it. ;)

I am thinking that I will wait and get it on board. Everything else was a thumbs up! GOOD NIGHT! Hope everyone else was just as lucky!

....the stupid site still won't let me get on....it still says someone linked to my reservation is making cruise plans when there is NOBODY linked to my reservation....so it's basically just blocking me from making ressies for no good reason and I know I've already been shut out of at least one of the excursions we wanted to do. If it's not fixed in the next 5 minutes or so we're just going to go to bed and give up and forget it and I guess we'll just get stuck with whatever leftovers are there when we can actually get online
Log off and log back on, that may help if you haven't done that. I remember last year someone said something about cleaning your cache. Not sure what that means though....

Just booked Palo brunch, dinner, and tea! Very exciting! Also booked City Under Siege in Gibraltar and Views and Parks in Madeira. Does anyone know anything about the Pusser Island Tour in Tortola? We're thinking about that one, too.
Hope those booking tonight got everything they wanted! Good luck to those with upcoming booking dates!

I couldn't get tea at Palo. It showed many available times, but it kept giving me an error message when I tried to book it. Now it just says no available times. I hope they release more times later. Good luck everyone.

That is such a pain. Hope you manage. I would phone DCL tomorrow and complain.

Yes we've logged off and back on multiple times. I restarted my computer. I closed my browser. And I even had Jason try to log on under HIS DCL login name and it won't let either of us access our reservation. We keep getting a stupid message saying to try again in 20 minutes or more or to call our Travel Agent or to call DCL during business hours.
It's really aggravating.....if everyone was having trouble I could chalk it up to just the site being overloaded or something.....but it's clear we're the only people having problems because everyone else has already gotten all their reservations and we're still sitting here staring at a screen that is blocking us out.
I absolutely HAAAATE this stupid system for booking.....i'm so infuriated right now I can't even stand it I'm about to throw my laptop out the freakin window!:headache::mad::headache:

 I'm so sorry, Erik & Jason. On a positive note, if you don't get this resolved in the coming days, since you're doing the B2B, you should be able to make the reservations you want and when you want before this group even gets on-board.

Hello, Paul! Welcome to the group! Since you're an experienced "crosser", then I'm sure you have a good idea of how to fill your days up with activities and naps on Deck 4! Glad you chimed in with us!

Paul, Welcome aboard!
I saw your location on your post. Of all the towns in the US, it just so happens that my brother Glen also lives in Tualatin!

it just let me back on....but the dolphin swim is still not available anymore....AND the 3 bookings that I had made before it kicked me out are gone...it didn't record them....and we lost our spa time!!! I'm so annoyed....luckily there was another relatively close to our original time....but it's really frustrating that their system totally screwed us out of an excursion and our top pick spa time.

Very cool. There are a few of us doing the last Med with AbD as well as this cruise. so that will be fun for all of us, I'm sure!
OK great...I'm still waiting to hear back from Cinderbear, too....but sounds liek we've got a good plan working!
Hi Erik, Sorry I haven't answered, I definitely want to dine with you and any other friends or disers who want to dine with us. I have not been able to make any of my reservations or excursions yet. I will be able to make those excursions on the 9th for our 10 day med. I have been trying to focus, I was cleaning and a step stool fell on my head, so needless to say I got a pretty good concusion(how silly is that). Please excuse any words misspelled, It took my about 10 min. to write this little bit. When are you getting into Barcelona, we are getting in on the 7th about 8:30 am and we are staying at the Marriott. If anyone is interested in meeting up we are willing to meet and hang out with our fellow disers.

I hope you feel better soon! That sounds like a very uncomfortable accident!
I am finally online trying to get our reservations for the TA portion of the trip....I got what we wanted in every port except Tortola although we didn't get the TIMES we wanted in St. Maarten or Gibraltar (we wanted to do the afternoon version of the excursion in each port becasue I am not a morning person....but we got stuck with the first morning excursions...but at least we got them). Now we have to go look at what our options are for Tortola since we clearly can't swim with the dolphins:confused3
Anyhow....I think we arrive in BCN on the 7th as well...but not sure when. We booked our air through DCL so we don't have our flight info yet...but we're on a red eye leaving Orlando on the 6th so we're assuming that means we'll arrive late morning on the 7th or so, right? We are at the Hilton Diaganol Mar hotel in Barcelona (again booked thru DCL).

We too wanted to do the dolphin thing but I do not think it is even being offered - it is not that it is full - normally they will show it with but saying it is full - it doesn't even show up. I am going to call and ask about it. I was on - got tea and everything else - but that did not even show up.

....sorry for ranting about my booking woes :lmao: it's 1am and I'm cranky and I let myself vent too freely here :rotfl2: I don't think you can delete posts or I'd go back and delete some of my tantrums ;)
So I think we're all set....we did get most the excursions we wanted, although as I said in my last post we didn't get the times we wanted....and although we can't swim with the dolphins, which is big disappointment, we decided the "Discover SCUBA" excursion where you actually learn to scuba dive and do a 20 minute dive at 30 feet could be fun and certainly not anything we'd ever get to do living here in frozen Rochester, NY.....so my lovely hubby Jason has convinced me that the world is not over becasue we can't swim with dolphins :rotfl2:

Yeah it just didn't show up at all for us either....I assumed that meant it was no longer available. If you find anything out, let me know. If not then we'll make the most of scuba diving. :thumbsup2
Now I have to go to bed so I can get up for the AIDS Walk in the morning----and it's thunderstorms outside right now (it's karma for me throwing a temper tantrum when i was trying to book my excursions :rotfl2:)!!!
