Well we fly to WDW Nov. 30th and guess what airline we're on. I hope this doesn't mean my $122.00 round trip tickets don't disappear.

it's just a reorganization. from what i've heard, they aren't going anywhere. even if they do shut down before november, i'm sure your tickets will be accepted by another airline.
Would one airline honor another airline's tickets?

in my past experience, when an airline ha salready sold tickets through a certain period and then they go out of business, another airline honors their tickets through an agreement. obviously, i don't know this will happen for sure, i was just trying to make her feel better. plus, as i mentioend before, i have heard that they won't be actually shutting down any time soon. i have tickets on usair later in the year too. :)
I'm already planning a trip to WDW for next June and USAir is all we have here in Pittsburgh. I was hoping to use DH's freq. flyer miles to get 2 tix free (we need 4), and I need to book the flights soon so there are some "free" seats left on the plane. And of course, to hold your seats you have to pay in full, so I'm worried about losing $$ if USAir isn't around next summer.

caity's right on with her first comment. Just because they're going Chapter 11 doesn't mean they're going anywhere. As a matter of fact, the last major airline to file Chapter 11 is now one of the more profitable ones around -- Continental. :)

I wouldn't worry at this point. US Airways is just going through protection and reorganization. Ppl tend to hear bankruptcy and think Oh No. Sometimes it allows the corporation to regroup and come back much stronger.
