I am so proud of my big brother! :)
One of my nephews friend's has a really bad home life not physical beating but pretty severe verbal abuse along with the " you are wanteds" which is terrible! :mad:
My brother approached this kids dad and told him if he didnt want the boy then my brother DID! The "dad" said ok and signed over guardianship to my brother :)
Keep in mind my brother is NOT rich they have a hard time making ends meet sometimes ( Like we all do) but he has a good job and he and his wife are stable people.
Im just so proud of my brother to first ofall see this need then to do something about it!!! He has made the life of this little boy better just like he has made MY life better by being there!!
Way to go big brother!!! :)

That was VERY wonderful of your brother. I'm sure he'll be a great father to this boy. Thank you for sharing....:D

How old is this poor little boy?? What a horrible man his "father" must be. But what a wonderful man his new father is!:D

That's a great thing he did. It's so hard to come see a child abused, but to step in and take this kind of action is great. We've had a number of teenagers call our house home at one time or another, but we've never gone as far as getting guardianship. You have every right to be proud of him.

I believe the boy is 13 like my nephew.
This is just something that I wouldnt really expect of my brother not that he isnt a wonderful person lol he IS but I just wouldnt expect it of him. He called my yesterday and said " want a new nephew?" LOL I said OF COURSE I DO!!
I havent met him yet but Im so excited to! Ill get to see him in 3 weeks :)

Awwww, your brother is a sweet, compassionate and brave man. I'm so glad he's going to make a difference in a young man's life. {{{{{Hugs}}}}} to the new family and hugs to the new Aunt!! :) :)

Tell your brother I'm proud of him too. What a tough thing for this poor boy to go through, but what a blessing he 'was chosen' by another family!!!!

What a wonderful thing your brother did. I just wonder how the poor kid feels that his dad gave him up so easily! On the other hand, he must feel great that somebody cared as much as your brother. Congrats on your new nephew!
