Hi all,
How about a Beaches and Cream Kitchen Sink meet on Dec. 18th. They don't do ADRs there so we need to think about how we pull this off. Ideas? thoughts?

We did a Kitchen Sink meet before PCC 1.0. I think there were about a dozen of us...no ADR, of course, so we just met up at a mid-afternoon time and put our names in and waited! It wasn't too bad...

We won't be able to attend this one, but you guys will have fun!!

I would suggest getting there just before Beaches and Cream opens at 11. That weekend will be busier than when PCC 1.0 took place.

Can we do just one symbolic birthday candle on the kitchen sink so the ice cream won't melt?

I like this idea....continue celebrating our b-days even after the cruise....:scratchin....

I'll keep my eye on this thread as we get closer.

We would love to do this for you birthday!!!

I think that meeting there just before it opens is a good suggestion.

I just saw one guy eat the whole thing solo in 18 minutes via the magic of the internet. I don't suggest doing that. ;) I'm not a big fan of every topping, but I wouldn't mind a mini version of the No Way Jose (which I just discovered you can request!)

Fabulous!
In many restaurants, I wish they would serve a small portion at a smaller price. Especially when I am on vacation and can't bring home leftovers.

I too am not a fan of every topping, but I love the No Way Jose - but can never finish it. This is good to know that you can request a Mini No Way Jose.

Carol (Disney Enabler) and I are interested in this. Please keep us in the loop.

BTW, just made some of our pre-cruise dining reservations and bought our tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on 12/16. It's starting to feel real!!

We'll be there. Ros will hurt me if we aren't..... :scared1:

Oh, uh... I mean... :rolleyes1

How could we ever stay away from our dear friend's 51st natal festivity! We wouldn't miss it for the world. :dance3:

:rolleyes1

(And, we would never hear the end of it if Zoe and Lily find out we kept them from ice cream....:rotfl2:)

I hope we'll be able to join... it's our departure day, but were driving so why not hang out with DIS friends and eat ice cream before leaving Disney. It would be a great pre birthday treat for me as my birthday is the 19th!

Mini No Way Jose is only $1.00 cheaper than the regular one. I had the mini in September but not a good deal the way the ring it up.

Well, it may be a poor deal, but it's tough to do that sundae and a lunch at Tusker House a couple hours later. ;)

OK. Having done some reconaissance in October at Beaches and Cream. Best time to meet there is 11:30 AM. It is a small space and they do not take reservations. This way we can get seated close together.

Meet at Beaches and Cream at 11:30 AM

We are going to order a kitchen sink. :goodvibes There will be substitutions to the normal ice cream - there will not be coffee ice cream.:banana:

Yay! Not a coffee drinker, nor do I enjoy coffee flavored food. (I think this is why I don't love zebra domes)

I am really looking forward to sharing a kitchen sink with new DIS friends. :goodvibes

From The “World” According to Jack blog

Beaches and Cream is open daily from 11am to 11pm. If you’re the first party of the day, you’re group is escorted into the restaurant while everyone else waits outside. The lights are dimmed and flashing beacons are activated. All of the servers make a big ta-do about your arrival and you’re seated at a booth, complete with a tablecloth and cloth napkins – accoutrements not normally used during the day. You’re made to feel quite special.

I doubt they have enough tablecloths for our group! :rotfl:

Sounds good to me. :thumbsup2 But I like ice cream too.
It's gonna be a tough choice! I like tough choices like this one. :cheer2:

A special thanks to yvet, mainegal, BriarRosie, wdwscout (and DH), emiel, AnneR who came to celebrate. There were onion rings to be shared and good times despite the rainy weather.

Eating the cold soup of melted ice cream with its odd mix of flavors was lots of fun. Thanks for the party, Ros!

I still think the Kitchen Sink is disgusting, but I am glad I was able to finally say I actually tried to eat a bit of it. I can cross that off my list for good, now. Thanks for sharing the onion rings!

I'm glad you had a happy birthday in the rainy gloom! And hey, you had Boma for dinner. Not too shabby!
