Room Capacity

I see the room capacity for the 1 bdrm set at 4 people. Is this a suggestion or is it a fire code rule as in the standard hotel rooms? I ask, because we have 3 children, and this means we would need a 2 bdrm after our youngest turns 3 (in just over a year).

This question often provokes heated debate on this board.

The stated occupancy is four (plus a child under 3) in studio and 1BR villas.

Disney will not check your room to see how many are sleeping there, but won't provide extra beds or linens either.
