The bridal shower was a huge success! She was thrilled about the garden bucket giftie with all the tools! And the ribbon of $$ was so funny...started with 1s, then 5s, 10s, 20s... it was really too funny...

Good morning! Halfway through the week! Yippeeee! 12 working days 'til summer vacation (counting today)!

Sending lots of P&PD to everyone hurting/struggling today! I couldn't comment on yesterday's thread for some reason, but I'm thinking of all of you!

Please remember Blythe and my brother & SIL in your prayers & thoughts. They discovered a cranial bleed yesterday in Blythe. They'll have to wait a week and do a scan again, but all we can do is pray that it stops.

Here's my list for today:

3. Pack lunches
4. Dust
5. DS's stuff together

7. DS to mom's
8. Work--graduation practice, end of year list, scheduling, FUN!

In English 10.. she has 3 days of testing in it for state, 2 research papers, Lexile testing and common assessment and final in just this class in 7 days... seriously.... than the Principal is on my last nerve w/ his changes... well, the colleges don't let you exempt a final if you have an A... My email to him today stated that while Colleges don't let you exempt a final if you have an A in the class.. COLLEGES ALSO DON'T MAKE YOU TAKE 5 FINALS ALL ON ONE DAY EITHER! Ok, I could vent more but no reason.. it won't change..

The full time 3-11 opened up!!!!

The girl resigned yesterday. If it all goes through (and at this point I don't see why it wouldn't) the job is mine. AND they are making it even more for me by having the weekend rotation match DH's so I don't have to switch anymore to be off with him...

DH is thrilled, DS's were laughing... "wait mom, so you get the shift you have been wanting, and the rotation you have been wanting. You get away form Butthead and Minion, AND they are going to pay you more? SWEET!!!"

Leave it to kids to say it like it is :rotfl:

There was a rumor that "someone" was going to be leaving... then she let it slip on her facebook, but deleted it right away... I thought I was dreaming it, because it wasn't there anymore... but I had seen it, so I was hoping it wasn't a dream!

The big boss was surprised that I wanted to go back to 3s (I saw him today and he asked me direct if I really wanted it), but I don't think may others will be surprised. I had someone tell me the other day that we could be doing the same thing and I would get in trouble, and nothing would be said to her. So, if peoples are coming up to me saying that stuff, it's best I get the heck out of Dodge... KWIM! ;)

Thanks to everyone who has been listening to me gripe and grumble for these past few months! Our little group on the DIS is just the best for when life hits you with a curve ball! I am thankful for you all! :grouphug: It's so great to have a place to share the good news and the bad! My bestest friends live in the gray box on my desk! :teeth:

I talked to my brother tonight, and the dr had come in and talked to SIL today. He told her that if Blythe had to have a cranial bleed at stage 3, this is the "best case situation". He basically said that they could see clotting in the scan (which hopefully means it's stopping) and that he gave her a "75% chance of being just fine, with no developmental problems". He mentioned no other bad scenario as an option. There is another scan on Monday! Please continue to send prayers and pixie dust their way--it's definitely working!! Deb, I'm with you--my bestest buddies live in this box!! :thumbsup2

Christy - the fair went OK. thanks for asking. DDs pig ended up weighing in at 222 which is lightweight. danged picky eaters! She was 5th in her market class out of 10 and 8th in the finals of junior showmanship. Auction prices were way down - but Grandma and Grandpa bought that hog to be sure she at least broke even on her project.

Next fair - September - she wants to try a market lamb. We shall see.

I give up on the office stuff for today. American Idol starts in 10 minutes and I'm beat. Very good day on the job front, DH is almost gainfully employed! Should be by tomorrow!!

Tough day on our home front. MomE's husband is getting even more difficult, told the dr not to tell my mother anything about his condition, demanded to talk to an attorney to change his living will (he just had one done two months ago), thinks he got up last evening on his own, sad part is he is totally immobile now. He will most likely be transferred to a hospice tomorrow or Friday.

Lisa :hug: for you and momE. It is so hard. I'm sure the dr realizes where he's at and is ignoring his requests. It would hopefully be appartent to any lawyer as well. I saw so much of this when we owned the pharmacy, we'd be accused of trying to posion them, or god forbid the pills changed colors cause it was a different mfg. Hang in there I will keep you all in my prayers.

Lisa, :hug: to MomE... it's such a difficult road she is on..but with you by her side she'll make it thru.... just remind mom he is talking out of his mind.... (Grandpa & Grandma did the same thing to us.. it really hurt my dad when my grandparents thought I was their daughter and wouldn't listen to their own children but only me...however, I did talk to the kids and suggested what they wanted not what I wanted)....


PO3: The entry way is one door frame short of being complete (minus hanging the wall decorations)... The family room is one door frame short of being complete...The hallway is still waiting on the flooring guy to return.. if he doesn't return tonight, Mike is taking a check down and paying for the supplies and the entry way (1/2 of original quote) and tellin' him to fly!! Me, I don't want to be so nice....but I don't want to cause a war either so I'll let the diplomat do the job.... The hallway is painted...but needs 6 door frames done... we can do that Friday night...

ONE MORE DAY ON THE JOB! Whew! People (supervisors) are getting kinda snarky at each other and the atmosphere is changing a bit - not so much fun with the crankiness and pettiness. Another guy (a retired gentleman) who started on the same day as I did is fed up too. We are both SO glad we're outta there tomorrow!

DS's reading evaluation got rescheduled for Monday - I'll let y'all know how we make out.
