Looking to buy rechargable batteries for my new P&S camera. I am not sure what brand to use. I had rechargable about 5 years with my first digital camera, but they sucked. I charge them until the light said it was done and they would take about 30 pictures and die on me. My previous rechargable were name brand. I didn't care if I use rechargable in my last P&S because it use two batteries and I could use Lithum in it and they last for ever. The new one take four batteries so can see take it going to start to add up paying for regular batteries.

Looking for recommendation on different brands, where the best place to buy them at, and what type of charger to get.

I need AA batteries

Thank you for any help

I used Sanyo Eneloops for my S3 IS, when I had it... and I LOVED them. Not only did they last a lot of shots, but they never lost their charge when just 'sitting there' (you could even use them straight from the store pacakge!!!). The only place you might be able to find them is online though. And even that might be a task. But they're worth it. :thumbsup2

I've been using the Energizer 15-minute Battery charger + the Energizer rechargeable batteries. It seems to work pretty well for me. I like that it recharges the batteries in about 15-20 minutes. Very convenient.

I bought mine at Target.
