After several attempts on previous trips that didn't work out because they were closed or timing didn't work out, I finally made to down to Haines City, FL (about an hour south on I-4 from WDW) to visit the Mouse Surplus (http://mousesurplus.myshopify.com/) warehouse.

As WDW refurbishes rides, resorts, etc, Mouse Surplus buys the old furniture, signs, fixtures, and some merchandise and resells it. Some on ebay, some from their warehouse. The warehouse is part yard sale and part Disney parks museum. Unfortunately the monorail they have was locked away in a warehouse without light so no photos of it.

Nestled amongst the orange groves, this old trailer turned sign lets you know you've found it. (note that the phone number here as well as the one on the website is wrong) The hours on the website are wrong, they open at 11 not 10 and are open on Sundays.

The company is Detroit based but has warehouses near WDW and DL so there is a bit of DL items in this Florida warehouse as well.

These Soarin' signs were probably on light poles in Epoct

If you missed this item from Disney Auctions (http://collectibles.about.com/od/disneyana/ss/goldenmickey06.htm) for $500, it can still be yours for only $1350. Better rush, they only have 2 in the warehouse.

They have a good selection of classic Epcot stuff. I think the "we can do it" button was distributed to all the construction workers on site.

If memory serves, this christmas tree was Goofy's and was near a character meet and greet in Animal Kingdom 5 years back or so.

This parade vehicle was used both for the green army men from Toy Story and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back in the day.

Who Knew?! We were in Haines City last spring visiting my in-laws. This might be enough to get me to go back (big on the might part!). It would be a good break from dodging "souped" up golf carts and ladies floating on noodles in the pool.

I've been wanting to get there for years to find items for my billiard room, now I know I have to take the time to get there but the hours they keep never worked with our schedule. If you have more pics throw them up because its like finding the ultimate yard sale!

I've got that silver Epcot beer stein! Originally got it for my Grandpa on my first visit to Disney in '88. Gonna start saving my pennies for that Star Wars Imperial Walker, wonder if I could talk 'em down to 20k...

Wonder if they would take $500.00 for the plane that would make a cool lawn decoration with a few pink flamingos around it for color.

Were you there recently? The last time we were there about 6 weeks ago we didn't see the plane. It was out front. Did they move it? I love going up there.

They sell stuff on eBay and their website mostly. I've bought a few things from them; nothing big though.

A few years ago they had the lucite sculpture from the fountain in front of Spaceship Earth and sold it on eBay.

Too cool! I have been wanting to make a trip out there for a few years now but just haven't been able to make it work. I almost bought one of the old Alien Encounter seats that they had a while ago but the shipping was pretty pricey... I shoulda done it though. :)

Just the other day, I found a similar seller, "sellandship" (http://stores.ebay.com/sellandship) on eBay, who has a ton of surplus park stuff. It's fun to go browsing through it even if I'm unlikely to actually buy anything!

BTW, your Jessica Rabbit hotlink was broken - here's the actual picture:
