Refer a friend incentives?

Can someone remind me if there are incentives if a referred friend joins DVC? If so, what are they? Thanks!

If you live in Pennsylvania, the real estate laws of that commonwealth forbid you to receive any compensation for real estate referals.

Here in Virginia that is a no no. The only thing we will get is a thank you note or postcard.

Ditto for Michigan, but Illinois allows you to get the gift. It's $200 in Disney Dollars.

I recently found out through a bit of serendipity that 2 people I had told about dvc went down and purchased. On a whim, I called MS to find out what I might get for these "referrals." This is what they told me:

For each "referral" you get a dollar allotment which can be used in several different ways: (i) disney dollars; (ii) credit toward annual dues; (iii) credit toward purchase of addt'l points; (iv) give to one of several approved charitable organizations.

The way the amount is determined is based on a sliding scale of how many referrals you make each calendar year

1st $200
2nd $350
3rd $500
4th $750
5th $1000

Don't quote me on exact amounts, its from memory of my phone call. In any event, assuming the two purchases close, I will be eligible for $550. Needless to say, DW and I are already thinking about how we can put the $ to good use on our trip to OKW in October ;):earseek:

BTW - I've been a dvc member for 2 years and am VERY excited to have found this board
