I'm sorry to go SO far OT here, but I don't know where else to ask.
What do you wear for a bathing suit coverup? We're going to the Outer Banks next month, and I need something to wear for walking back and forth from the house to the beach, etc. I think the last time we went (2 kids and 12 years ago :cool2:) I just walked back and forth in my bathing suit . That is NOT going to happen now!
It doesn't have to be anything fancy, and I don't want to spend a bunch of $. I was thinking of getting some of those shorter gym-type shorts and a t-shirt. Would that work? All of the shorts I currently have are either denim or khaki.
Thanks,
Steph

I ordered a tunic from newport news for $6.00 last week...
They look really comfortable & they cover well..
DH actually thought it was something I could wear out around town!

I like to wear something like a dress... gauzy and flowy.

I just wear a big t-shirt but I used to have a skirt type thing that went over my suit.

I wear a straight cotton dress over the top -actually do own a true cover up, but it's too bulky to pack and has never been worn.
I have a Mickey polo dress that I wear or a straight cotton dress that is above the knee.

humm I like these ideas. Where do you shop for somethin to wear as a cover up? Walmarts options sucked when I was there.
One I got at disney.com, the other from JC Penney's
Good luck with your search.

I use either a sundress (buy a size up so its easy to get on and off when you're damp and sandy:thumbsup2) or I have a sort of tunicy kaftany thing - about mid-thigh. I do have a couple of sarongs but I'm not good at tying them -you know those articles which show you how to pack for 2 weeks with only carry-on luggage? well, it looks NOTHING like illustrations in them:lmao:

I found a cute tank-top dress at Kmart last night. It was near the swimsuits, and I thought it was a cover-up, but after I got it home and tried it on (it has a built in bra-top thing), I think it was not.
Oh well, it is now! Plus, it was 40% off, and I like cheap!!
Thanks for the input,
Steph

Actually it sound perfect - if you get your suit wet you can use it like a chnging tent and just put dry panties on:thumbsup2
