50's Prime Time Meet- Dec 5 at 3:30PM ***UPDATED 10/30/02***

The 50's Prime Time Meet is on Dec 5 at 3:30PM. They are seating us in groups. So the last group is at like 3:50ish. So the folks going to DVC annual meeting may make it. We still have room and I can change the ressies until the day before. If we have alot of no shows I will be charge $10 for each no show. Everyone pays their own meal and there is no money needed ahead of t time. See everyone in Dec. A post by Pixie Power! reminded me. If we have anyone who has special needs asin special diet or anything. Please let me know in the PM so I can tell Disney. They will work with us on that.

Hey Dave...you might want to call today and see if you can get some info on making the group PS. I've made two and I know you have to use a credit card to hold it and 50's for dinner might not be able to be made until 60 days out. But you can call today and make the PS and do it for like 50 and then if you need less you can call back closer to the date and lower that number. Just an FYI of what I've been told now for 2 of them. And I did them at 120. When you call WDW-DINE tell them you want to make a group priority seating. They will transfer you to group sales and they will either do it there or they will have you call 50's directly.

I just called WDW Dinning and they said I can not make Dinner ressies until Oct 6. Lunch ends at 3:55 PM. With a breakfast ending at 10AM for DISCON, I think any earlier is too close. Opinions on if we should try for a 3:30ish time or not.

The parade is at 3PM. I forgot about the parade. I was more concern about meals being to close to each other. The parade makes for at least a 3:45Pm or later ressie IMHO. Oct 6 is a Sunday and I am working like today so I can call first thing in the morning. My other idea is doing Fantasmic and/or Osbornes afterward, but I do NOT want to host that part.:rolleyes: LOL

When we were at MGM in April, the parade was later than 3:00, and this week I see it's at 5:30 p.m.

I just checked. In late Oct it is 3:30PM. I have seen it at 5:30PM, 5PM, 4:30PM, 4PM and 3:30PM depending on when the park closes. I am noe totally confused.:confused: I have no suggestions now.

Dave...is there a reason why we wouldn't do this as a dinner like at 5 as opposed to a lunch time????? Did they tell you if there was only certain times they would seat people??? That may take a part in all of this. I am not opposed to eating at 5 or 5:30 and then doing the early Fantasmic and then heading over to Osbourne..that's what we did this past December and it worked out pretty good (doing the early F and then going over to O after).

I am always open to suggestions. That way we all learn something. I am more comfortable with the 5PM right now. If there is really a good reason, like some other DIScon function, I will stay with this time. I enjoy hearing other opinions.

At first I preferred the lunch idea.....but now that we've seen the tentative itinerary, I think dinner is the better choice. Also, this leaves the day open for a multitude of other meets. :)

I'd probably stick with the 5 p.m. dinner time. The MGM parade is NOT a nighttime one - and it will be getting dark by 5 p.m. in early December. Therefore, the parade will probably be before dinner time.

The confusion on the times I think is I mentioned that I could not make dinner ressies until Oct but could for lunch now. Apparently 50's Prime Time is 120 day ressie for lunch and 60 day ressie for dinner. Go figure. This should be one great time.
