View Full Version : Your favorite sandwich from the Earl?

05-13-2010, 01:30 PM

I am looking forward to going back to EOS more than any other restaurant this trip. We had such a great experience there last year. I think I orded teh original but they mixed up the order and I got the all-american. Instead of going back and standing in line, I just ate that one. WOW, it was great. Happy accident, I guess. I can't believe I have to choose just one sandwich.:confused3 What are your favorites? Pictures would be great.

My favorite is the one they had over the holidays...can't remember the name but it was like the best Thanksgiving leftover sandwich ever...Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce

The rest of the year I really enjoy the Best BLT, followed by the Hawiian and the Jerk Chicken (we eat there quite a bit and have never had a bad one...i try to rotate thru the menu)

Actually, that is what I call it; the leftover Thanksgiving sandwich. But sadly, it is seasonal.

I love the original 1762 - roast beef, cheddar and horseradish.

Their side salads are great too.

I like the holiday one too - didn't think I would like it as much as I did. I don't know if it is my favorite sandwich - but my all-time best meal ever at Disney was a grilled cheese and tomato soup from there. I think for that moment in time there couldn't have been a more perfect meal. It was a little chilly and damp out and late in the trip so I was worn down and that was just warm and yummy. I don't know if it would be as good if I had it again or if it was all the circumstances surrounding it - but it was great.

My DH is practically in love with that thanksgiving sandwich. We got it the first night we were in WDW and he spent the rest of the vacation trying to talk me into going back to DTD so he could just buy another sandwich. I had their BLT which was quite good.

The Hawaiian is also good....dang, I want an EOS now!

05-14-2010, 11:35 AM
Wow, I had practically forgot about this place, but so many positive reviews are making me consider it for this trip. When we went, it didn't strike me as much better than many local sandwich shops, but perhaps I should give it a second shot!

05-14-2010, 11:43 AM
The caribbean jerk chicken sandwich is super good.

05-14-2010, 11:54 AM

Adore the Holiday sandwich, wish they did it all year round. Failing that, the tuna melt is wonderful. X

So far, Caprese is my fave. Simple and delicious!! Of course, that was my first visit to EOS, so I'm sure there will be others I love. We will be there in a few days, and I can't wait :cool1:

Everyone's pics look incredible!

05-16-2010, 08:48 AM
Full Montague is my favorite . . .how I wish I had one right now!! I didn't realize they had breakfast; I checked on allears but they didn't have a breakfast menu. Anyone know the hours or another site to check?

05-16-2010, 08:53 AM
tuna melt all the way & I don't even like HOT tuna!

hubby goes for cannonballs. We eat here at least 2x each trip & get it for trip home when doing DDP! Brownies & sandwiches in the car makes the trip last a little longer!

05-16-2010, 08:58 AM
The Earl's Club which is roast beef, smoked bacon, swiss cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.
The Best BLT which is applewood bacon, lettuce, roma tomatoes and seasoned mayonnaise.

Both of these sandwiches are really good - the bacon on the sandwiches are DELICIOUS!

I never got to try the old grill cheese do you think you can ask for a normal grilled cheese? If not is the kids grilled cheese a decent size?

05-16-2010, 09:13 AM
I love the BBQ Chicken with pineapple, their veggie soup is awesome as well. I am fortunate to have two EOS within 3 miles of my office and go at least 2 times a month.
