Wilderness or Hilton Head?

I am going to become a member in May and I am wondering which property I should buy? Any suggestions?

Buy where you plan on staying the most. If you want to go to WDW every year you probably should buy at VWL. If you want to go to WDW every couple of years and spend off years at HH buy there.

We enjoy HH because it is close enough for the one day trips and it is a great resort.

hh has a gv, wl does not. wl only has studios, 1 & 2 bedroom.

You can buy HH thru a resale. so far wl is only available thru disney

If the Magical Beginnings program (where Disney buys back a portion of your first year points) could be a factor in your decision, check with your guide. I believe the MB has been discontinued at VWL (or will be soon) but it is still offered at HH. If that has no bearing on your decision, then you should definitely buy where you plan to stay most often.

Either resort is wonderful and you will love being a member!

VWL will be sold out soon so don't wait too long to decide. You can add HH at a later date. Might not be so lucky with VWL.
Fenceman-HH is close enough to Akron OH for one day trips??

As everyone on this board says, buy where you want to stay the most. If you want to go to WDW a lot then buy WLV, because you get the 11 month reservation window and you can reserve what you want for your vacation. If you plan on going to HH more, buy there. Good luck on your decision, and a pre-emptive "Welcome Home" :)
