I miss speaking/hearing french. I still get to teach Sarah all of the songs I grew up with. I actually learned to speak english by watching Sesame Street and the Electric Company (wow that really dates me doesn't it:rotfl:)
I miss shopping and playing with TinkerBean and Shamrock!
We miss you too. We had fun today and look forward to having you back all to ourselves. The margarita maker is waiting http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee62/rhonda6699/thjoseandcousinm.gif

Thanks for all the welcomes! :goodvibes
Got quite a bit sidetracked with my swish and swipe in the kids' bathroom...did a complete overhaul. Scrubbed the tub like it hasn't been done in maybe a year :scared1:. My arms are so sore! Washed the floor by hand. Scrubbed all aspects of the toilet. Right now the Mickey rugs and towels are in the washer and dryer. I think I'm throwing away the old Mickey body parts shower curtain. It has been duct taped for the last time. I saw some nice white curtains at Target or Walmart. I'm going to add my own Mickey heads to keep their theme going. I'm definitely getting rid of the wooden shelf thing that never ever worked for the kids to hang their towels on. Getting rid of the bath tub toys they don't ever play with.
Looking so great in there!!
However, none of that was income producing activity, so....off to work. ;)

I'm back. I went with her because she's been very, uh, lazy...lately. She's never been much of a housekeeper, but since she got back from Florida, she's been really really bad. I haven't been in her apartment for a while, but it was a complete mess the last time I was there.
I was able to find out that she is, indeed, physically capable of doing her own laundry, washing her dishes, vacuuming her rugs, going to the grocery store, etc., etc., etc. (She has COPD, but her breathing has been great since she figured out how to take her medication, she's barely using her inhaler at all).
But, it turns out she hasn't been using her sleep apnea machine since she got back from Florida on April 6th. :headache: So, while she feels like she's sleeping through the night, she isn't really and therefore has no energy and is always tired. I set it up before I left.
There were a few "words" between us as far as what she expects from me (and my siblings) and what she needs to do for herself. Let's just say that neither of us were really thrilled, but it had to be said. She has a follow-up in 2 weeks to see if the CPAP machine helps. If not, they'll put her on a stimulant...just what she needs, another medication.
Christy, she actually needs all the meds she's on, but if she lost 25 or 30 pounds, she could probably drop a bunch of them. And, like the doctor said, they put "may cause drowsiness" on EVERYTHING. They have to, they have to cover their butts.
I'm almost done with laundry. Working on my swap. Early dinner night, softball at 5:00, and GLEE (and Biggest Loser!) tonight! Yippeeee!
Welcome, Cindy. Can't wait to get to know you better!

Welcome Pixieflip!!
Danica, all I can say in French is "I don't speak French very well". :rotfl2: Two years and that is all I remember.
Today was the longest day of my life. I spent 6 hours explaining the difference between Physical and Chemical change for the COSI on wheels exhibit that came to school today. When I signed up, I thought it was just for my son's class. Not every first, second and fifth grade class. I am so sick of looking at flash cards. :rotfl2: I know my spiel down pat though. A dad in my son's class did the Physical section and I got the Chemical section. Because he physically cuts his hair and I chemically change mine. :lmao: Talk about two geeks have a field day. It was fun, just long.
DH is bringing home dinner. Gosh I love that man. Will catch up on DISing and then laundry. I do have my priorities you know. ;)

LOL!! Physical and Chemical changes....
We are going to have to do dinner out...(well, be brought home).... we have science fair coming up...and who knows how long that will take... it's an hour before awards... I guess it's time for the parents to sit and gossip and the kids to run from group to group... oh the joy!

I had a lovely day with BFF! We shopped, had Soup, Salad and Breadsticks at Olive Garden, tried to buy something at the local nursery, but we didn't see anything that we liked... talked, talked, talked...then we talked some more...
Great day all in all...
OH, and I was able to get the Nintendo DS Personal Trainer: Walking at BestBuy for $20...
