*June Pen Pal Letter-Sent/Received*COMPLETED

Some participants had received the June Topic of the Month, and Twist of the Months if their May pen pal letters have been sent out, and reported as being received. So, I am posting the sent/received thread early.

REMINDER: All letters MUST be mailed by this Sunday. If you are away during the exchange period, please let me know before you leave.

Sign ups for the next round of pen pal letter swapping is currently being held. Depending on how the sign ups go, the sign up date may change, and it may end early, or if we get many sign ups, and I feel that we have enough participants, I may close it early as well. So, if you are interested in joining in, please look at the sign up as rules have changed.

Please post here once you have sent out your letter, and as you receive them.

Letters are to be sent out by June 13th.

Quick question... what are 4 oclock seeds? I just started gardening and don't know what those are!:confused:

They are annuals. They like sunlight but can tolerate a little shade.

They open up their flowers in the evening and stay open all night closing in the morning sun. Unless it is a cloudy day and then they stay open.

They smell really pretty.

They reseed themselves easily, but you can also dig up their tuber (root system) and store it over winter in some peat moss or sand.

They come in a variety of colors.

Nancy sent me a very nice letter---all of her letters have been really nice.:goodvibes She is from California and had a hard time getting the places down to three. They are Disneyland :rotfl:, Sausalito and San Francisco *me, too!!!) and San Simeon (where Hearst Castle is)--never been there.

Her summer gifts were a Snow White kite, gel reusable ice cubes and Wyler's lite singles to go in raspberry :thumbsup2

The July letter, and twist does not need to be mailed out till the second sunday of July, but if you wish to have a head start, you can :). Once someone requests the July Topic and Twist of the Month, I will post the July Sent/Recived thread.

Nikki also said that if she were to visit Texas, she would like to see the Alamo, the Houston Space Center, The Harbor here in Rockwall and the Dallas Aquarium. All great places!

I was hoping to find my favorite, the Hawaiian Tropic Lip Balm, but no such luck. ;)

She also mentioned wanting to visit WDW again, of course, Sanibel Island, and generally sightseeing most of Florida. :) It is a big state to discover!

Please post of all arrivals as soon as you receive them. This will help me in keeping track of all mailings, and let me know if there are any problems that I need to address. The next round of pen pal swaps will be starting next month, and being on top of commuicating is a key...(that is why the weekly check in is in place). Looking forward to it, and also hearing about the rest of the June letter arrivals, as well as the July-final :( letters.
