Envelope Question

I don't know if this is posted somewhere else but I missed it if it is. Just a quick question. Is there someplace that I can print off tipping envelopes before we leave on our trip? I read that we can after our arrival but I'm not going to have time after we get there. I would like to try and get it done before we leave. Thanks everyone :worship:

Just make sure if you are using these for restaurants that you make it very boldly obvious that it is a tip envelope. I would also put it with the payment when settling the bill. It is too easy for papers to wind up in the trash when left amongst the bits and pieces on the table.

I do think the envelopes are a cute idea, but would use them for Mousekeeping. Just my 2c. ;)

I'll second this. When clearing a table, busers and servers can easily overlook an envelope. Clearing tables is almost robotic, so if it isn't obviously cash it can very easily end up in the trash.

I give them with the bill. I usually know how much beforehand we're going to spend, so I have that amount in there, add or take out as necessary, and then seal it up. The A10s stick out of the bill holder, so the waiter sees it. I've had a few of them say how cute they were, so they obviously see it when they run your card/add up your money.

But I agree, I wouldn't just leave it on the table.

I also only give dining tips w/ the bill... Too easy for someone to throw the envelope in the trash when cleaning the table off or the kids accidently knocking it to the ground.
