Our Story
Patrick and I met doing our time wearing the good ol' khaki and red. He worked in Target's electronic department and I worked at the one hour photo, back in the days when people still used something called film and digital was just the beginning of a dream. In slow times I'd seek out Patrick and help him restock the latest CDs while he reviewed them for me.
We became good friends. So good of friends that he won me a stuffed Ernie and a giant plastic diamond ring at Dave and Busters; he would sit through my dad's tortuous un-edited videos of our family vacations to Disney :scared:; and when he would take me out to dinner people I knew thought he was my boyfriend.
But we never dated. We were both too shy.
School ended, we started seeing other people, and we both pursued dreams that set quite a bit of distance between the two of us. He traveled the country as the drummer for a band. :faint: (I always dreamed of marrying a musician!) And my childhood dream of moving to Florida and working for the big cheese ::MickeyMo had become a reality.
Patrick ended his tour with the band and began working with his family's construction company in Ohio. Shortly after, I noticed that the chick he played for was headlining at the House of Blues at Downtown Disney. One night I sent him a message saying I wished he was still touring with her so I could have shown him around Disney World.
A couple months later Patrick took me up on my offer of showing him around the "World." In December of 2008 he came to visit me for four days! The first night he got there we were so excited to see each other I am pretty sure it was near 3:00 am by the time we realized we had been up all night talking. We both agreed we were going to break plans and not get up early to head to Epcot the next morning.
Our trip together was so incredible it needs a story of its own. So bear with me as I try to shorten all the fun and sappy details. The first day we spent at at Epcot. I was singing that night in the Candlelight Processional and I was so proud to have him there to see me.
Day two we spent at Hollywood Studios and by then I was already pretending to be scared :scared1: on Tower of Terror so he would hold me. That night we went back to Epcot and stayed for Extra Magic Hours even though neither of us were a resort guest. Nobody bothered us as we spent the night sitting on one of the columns in Italy sipping wine and talking. Our conversation turned into something silly about our potential super hero powers when he looked at me, smiled and said, "It doesn't get any better than this." At the end of the night Patrick hugged me and told me I was really special. I spent the whole night wide awake  kicking myself because instead of telling him that I felt the same about him ... I pulled a stupid girl move and told him that I was not.
Despite how tired the both of us were he still made me laugh as we conquered the Animal Kingdom and Disney Quest on day three. At the end of the night when Patrick had declared it was time for the two of us to retreat I was really sad :sad1: as I knew his trip was coming to an end too soon. Just as we were about to walk away he leaned over and kissed me. :lovestruc I immediately confessed that I had been attracted to him since the day I met him about eight years ago! Both of us had a sleepless night as we individually pondered how the logistics of this relationship could possibly work.
The next day we were both unusually quiet as we headed to the Magic Kingdom. First thing in the morning we found ourselves standing in front of a photographer in the rose garden. The photographer asked us if we were a couple... here's where I make the biggest mistake of the whole trip... Patrick proudly declares that we are as I shyly say that we are not.
Oh man! getting through that 45 seconds of snapshots was terrifying! We had never discussed what that kiss meant and I didn't think he could possibly want to try to make this work... boy did I want to fix this! So, I did the only thing I could think of and held out my hand. He was receptive and held my hand as we walked away. :upsidedow Just before wishes started we had a beautiful photo of the two of us sneaking a kiss in front of the castle as an official "couple." :tink:
The next morning my stomach was doing flip flops as I had to drive Patrick back to the airport. :sad2: I could tell he wasn't feeling well either and I tried to be strong as we said goodbye; after all I was coming home to see family for Christmas in just a little over two weeks. He was fighting tears as we got to the security check and I smiled until he walked away. As soon as I thought he was gone I plopped down on the nearest bench and tried to hide as I cried; and attempted coming to terms with the overwhelming amount of emotions that left me with no desire to leave the airport or my bench.
But our story doesn't end there... :goodvibes

What Comes Next?
December 22nd rolls around and I step off the airplane in Akron, Ohio to find Patrick waiting patiently for me just past the security check. He holds me tightly for a moment and for the first time, in person, he tells me he loves me.
Not only was I in love with him, but I fell in love with his car that has a special talent of predicting the future. While getting directions to my parent's home the OnStar representative addressed us as Mr. and Mrs. O'Donnell. :teeth:
Our holiday was incredible; complete with unforgettable gifts! I had brought home an antique looking suitcase filled with things from Italy and the night I believe we fell in love. He told me a really long amazing story that began with the day we spent at Magic Kingdom. He spent at least a good half hour telling me about the adventure that Captain Jack Sparrow sent him on when I walked away for a moment. :sail: He fought pirates and saved a tavern all to be deceived by the Captain. See the Captain had promised Patrick that he would give him a special gift for me in payment for all his toils. Patrick seized a sword and threatened Captain Jack. The Captain finally made good on his promise and told him that he would have made a good pirate if he wasn't a fool in love. Then Patrick pulled out a little treasure box containing a stunning necklace. I was speechless... nobody has ever gone through such great lengths to write a story, let alone fight pirates for something so beautiful for me.
Over the next three months Patrick came to visit me twice in Florida. The first time for Valentine's Day and the second trip was to see Collective Soul, one of our favorite bands as kids, play at Universal Studios.
March 20, 2009
The day before the concert we planned to see a traveling exhibit on Jim Henson at the History Museum in Orlando. I thought Patrick would be excited as we both share a love for the Muppets. The week leading up to his visit he changed our plans daily and was acting strange. He finally decided that what he really wanted to do was go back to Epcot on Friday. He even made dinner reservations for us. So that night we dined at the Bistro de Paris, one of the few places I had never been. I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't realize it was even there, so it was extra special for me! The timing was perfect as this was our view as we were seated at a window table.
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/fireworks.jpg
We shared a romantic dinner and a bottle of wine. After dinner we walked out into an empty park as it was getting close to the end of Extra Magic Hours. He seemed nervous and wanted to run through the countries, while I wanted to take in the absence of people. We stopped at the column in Italy where we had sat during his first visit.
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/wpitaly.jpg
He said to me, "Danielle, the first time we sat at this column I knew I was in love with you; and now I know I don't want to live without you." There was a pause for a moment until I looked down and realized that he was holding a ring between the two of us. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife!

He fondly refers to this as the "She said YES! picture"

The Ring
So DF tells me about how he picked out each element of my ring individually. He did it all on his own, so he was trying to pick out something I'd like based on a vintage looking ring I always wear on my right hand. Then after he tells me about how long it took to design my ring he tells me, "we can take it back if you don't like it."
I think he's crazy! It's gorgeous and means so much more to me that he put so much thought into it!

The Venue
Getting our families on board with our vision, finances, and moving back to Ohio were just a few bumps in the road when it came to getting wedding plans started. The date was set a few times with no wedding on its arrival. I was beginning to feel like the boy who cried wolf.
Df and I finally decided we are going to have the kind of wedding we want regardless of what anyone says... and things actually began to fall into place!
I have always dreamed of getting married in Florida. Patrick dreamed of having a small intimate wedding. As if Walt Disney World wasn't already special enough, it fit both dreams.
My dream location is quite simple; two palm trees and an aisle of rose petals. I really, really, really, badly wanted Sunset Pointe at the Polynesian, its perfect! We have five siblings and four parents... which would mean either DF or I can't come to our own wedding.
So, we signed a contract for the next best option, the wedding pavilion. I now have a new dilemma. Do I use the beach next to the pavilion, which will be closest to my original dream? Or do I use the pavilion itself which is what I'm actually paying for? I'm afraid either decision I make I may regret after its all over.
Suggestions... thoughts... ? They would be greatly appreciated!

Colors and The Shoes!
For our reception at home I want to use the colors brown, purple and orange. When I tell people that I usually get a funny look, :scratchin but I promise it looks good together. I recently found an inspiration pic in a magazine using those colors that I will post at a later date.
A while back I briefly entertained the idea of trying to find "Cinderella" shoes. I decided that would be way too difficult and moved on to trying to incorporate my colors by finding strappy purple sandals. Believe it or not I couldn't find any sandals that fit that description. A few weeks ago while "window shopping" with my cousin we stopped in Aldo.
Can you believe these were the first shoes I noticed?
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/resize.jpg
Even the sales lady was excited. She said they had just gotten them in that day and couldn't wait for someone to try them on! When I tried them on I was beaming, I felt like a princess:. My cousin said I was smiling the same way her sister did when she tried on her wedding dress. So I had to buy them!
I'm feeling a little greedy though because I still want some purple shoes. :guilty:
The Theme and Save The Dates
We both loved :lovestruc the story of Carl and Ellie in the movie UP! We thought about doing an UP theme until we started discussing the recurring theme of adventure in the movie. Df and I love to tell stories and everything is an adventure to us! So an adventure theme seemed appropriate; at least for our home reception. I'm not so sure we have a theme for the wedding.
To fit our adventure theme we sent out save the dates we designed to look like an old postcard. To save a little money we sent them via email... most save the dates end up in a circular filing cabinet anyways. These are the ones we sent to our family that is invited to the wedding and the reception.

I think you should go with the location that fits your dreams!!! If that means that beach, then go for it! You'll still get use of the Commander's Terrace and you'll have a fantastic rain location just in case. You'd miss out on the organ...but really who needs the organ anyway
Okay so weird, but the fortune you got in your cookie is the EXACT same fortune my DF and I got when we first started dating in college!! He opened it up while we were sitting on his couch and we kind of freaked out since I was sitting next to him. We actually still have that piece of paper nearly 7 years later! Weird!
Those shoes are SO cute. You could always wear them for the reception and get purple shoes for the ceremony. Of course if you're on the beach, barefoot might be best! The save the dates look awesome, very neat idea :thumbsup2

Dress Anxiety
Patrick and I hoped to get married quickly. So only two weeks after moving back last summer, my parents and I headed out to a trunk show. I only found two dresses I was even interested in trying on.
The first one looked like this...
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/dress3.jpg
It's beautiful but it's definitely not me.
The second one is almost identical to this one...
(Its not the actual dress because I know DF is reading this and he does not want to see my dress with me in it or otherwise until the ceremony.)
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/dress2.jpg
I actually really liked this one on me. But I had only tried on two dresses, how could I possibly know if this was the right dress? The pressure to think fast turned on when a woman literally tried to snatch it right out of my hands. To add more pressure the woman running the show offered me another 30% off. The dress was already marked down to 600. That means the dress would only cost me 420... which is really hard to pass up!
On the ride home I started to second guess myself. Dad tried to calm me down by telling me if its not what I really want I can always sell it on ebay. Thanks Dad!
I remembered sitting in a bridal shop for hours watching friends trying on dresses and retrying on dresses. I began to wonder if it was a blessing I found my dress so fast.
Now that its getting close to the wedding I've began to have anxiety over the dress again. I've seen so many pictures of women in beautiful wedding gowns. But than there are some that are so completely striking that you know they found the dress made for them! I don't know that I have found that dress and have began looking again.
There is only one that has really stood out. There is a big difference between this...
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/dress4.jpg

Lots of updates since I last was here! I love your shoes!! I was looking for a cinderellay, comfy pair of shoes but didn't find any - good for you for finding them! :)
The dress that you bought is beautiful (even if it is a little different than the picture lol). It has a very classic style and you got a great deal! I am sorry that you are going through dress anxiety though :( Is that dress you really like available to try on at any boutiques that are close to you? Because you never know what you will think of it when you have it on, you may like the dress you bought much better - and that would ease the anxiety.
I hope you get it all sorted out soon!pixiedust:

Hi! I'm new to your PJ and I absolutely love your cinderella shoes!
Now, about the dress dilemma, see if you can try the other one on. I am currently dress shopping and the ones I thought I would love, I don't. You might just need to be reminded why you chose your dress, or you may want to change your mind completely.

Three Blessings
We have been super blessed and have been seeing doors opened us for us that we weren't expecting!
Blessing #1
Last year for my birthday DF took me to a local apple farm that is sorrounded by a gorgeous metropark. They have a beautiful little area for receptions that does not scream traditional wedding hall. Even though its still a well kept "secret" they book up pretty fast. So when DF and I decided that we wanted to have our at home reception on November 6th, I was sure they wouldn't be available.
We called on a Sunday, so I didn't expect anyone to answer. A couple hours later we got a call back from the coordinator saying that they have been booked for the entire fall of 2010, Fridays and Sundays included, for quite awhile. But two days prior somebody cancelled for Saturday,November 6th! We got our reception hall! :yay:
Blessing #2
The most important part of the wedding to Patrick is that someone we know and respect marries us. I agree. So we were stoked when our bible study pastor, who is also a good friend agreed to come down to Florida to marry us! :cheer2:
Blessing #3
Being a photographer myself, the photography is the most important element for me. For at least a couple years now I've been "stalking" The Roots website for inspiration and just to cheer me up when I'm having a bad day. :) When I first contacted Nathan and Jensey about shooting our wedding; Nathan replied saying that they might be going out of town that day but still wanted to talk to us, just in case they can work something out. Well come to find out they weren't just going out of town... they were moving out of town! They were able to work us into their plans! We will have The Roots shooting our wedding, on probably their last day as Florida residents! :dance3:

The Beach!
When I told my amazing wedding coordinator that I really wanted an outdoor wedding she called me right away to discuss our options. She followed up by sending me pictures of each of the locations that are available.
Option One: Picture Point
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/image005.jpg
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/image004.jpg
Option Two: The Wedding Pavilion Beach
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/image003.jpg
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/locationcircle.jpg
Option Three: The Summer House Patio
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/mail.jpg
The pictures helped solidify my decision that I wanted it on the beach! The aqua circle around the two palm trees is where I want to stand; so that the palm trees and the beach are behind us. Basically, just shifting the ceremony to the left of where it is being shown.
She also warned me that September is still summer in Florida and that it will be HOT! It's so far at the end of September that the likelihood of it getting in the 90's is very slim. My guests can brave it for the half hour tops that they'll be outside for the ceremony! Besides I plan to equip them with sunscreen, bug spray, fans, and parasols for their battle with the heat!
Now we just have to nail down a time. I initially picked the noon slot because I figured we have the best chance of avoiding rain at that time. However, I wasn't taking into consideration that noon light is the harshest and the absolute worst time of day to take pictures outdoors. Also I may have to travel off property to get my hair and makeup done and I'm concerned I won't have enough time to get ready in the morning. Past or Future Dis-brides, any recommendations?

ooh a weddign right out on the beach! Looking forward to seeing what you do with the plans!
But, you don't have to go off property to get your hair/make-up done. Patricia LeJuen, Beauty Especial etc. will all come to your room! We had our ceremony at noon and the light was pretty harsh. If I had to do it again, that is one of the things I'd change! As much as I love our pictures, there are a number of them that when I see them, I think " That would be great if we weren't squinting"!

Oh my goodness... I can't believe I've gotten this far behind. For quite a number of reasons we had to change our wedding date. This was extremely hard to do as everything was pretty much planned.
We are now getting married January 26 at the Poly instead of the WP. Unfortunately, our pastor's wife is pregnant and due the week of our wedding. So we have some airline tickets that can't be used and nobody to marry us... so the search is on!
Some good news though... we haven't lost the Roots! They will still be photographing our wedding!! :yay::yay::yay:

We always wanted to get married at the Poly but his immediate family was too large to fit the guest count. They've decided they aren't coming. So we changed our location back to where we wanted and are saving some money!

The day is getting near!!!!! :goodvibes
Between a mandatory 80 hour work week for the past two months at my studio and the lovely stomach virus:crazy2: I received as a Christmas present, I haven't had much time for planning, or journaling for that matter.
Patrick has been absolutely incredible with keeping on top the details! He found a woman to alter my dress, scheduled an appointment and picked up my shoes. I managed to disappear for a long lunch that day to get measured and get our paperwork notarized for our marriage license!

Two weekends ago my mom threw us an incredible fairytale themed shower! She decorated two chairs for us to sit in; mine was made to look like Cinderella's blue dress complete with a princess: tiara on top and Patrick's chair was covered in a suit and top hat !
These are the centerpieces she made out of glass pumpkin candy dishes that we got for $1.00 each after halloween!

For the three months prior to the wedding I was working 80 hour work weeks which left me planning at the wee hours of the morning. This is how I felt... :surfweb: Now that I'm back I plan to journal a lot of the planning details with the trip report. :)
In the meantime enjoy a few teaser pics taken by some friends of mine. I can't wait to see what the Roots have for us!!!

Officiant
Rev. Jon D. Bekemeyer: A+
Our pastor's wife got pregnant and he was not able to come down with us to preform the ceremony. He helped us find Pastor Jon through Grace Community Church in Clermont. We were truly blessed to have pastor Jon officiate our wedding. He's very genuine, warm and approachable. He spent a lot of time getting to know us through emails and skype. He's very wise and emphasizes the spiritual significance of the wedding. But, he's also very fun and down-to-earth. He spent a lot of time customizing our ceremony to make it personal and reflect us. He was very open to our requests and suggestions. He also does not charge for weddings; he only accepts honorariums which was very helpful with our budget.
Photography
Nathan and Jensey Root: A+++
I am totally in love with these two! They are incredibly talented, laid back and fun to work with! Their style completely captured the joy of the day!!!

Zoraily Carrasquillo: A
Although, she was not my official photographer she was there to cover the moments that I did not have the Roots. My wedding was not only the first she ever shot, it was the first she had ever been to. You would never know by her pictures, she is a natural talent!!

Musician
Disney Violinist: A++
I wish I knew his name because he was absolutely out of this world incredible! We asked him to learn Lucky by Jason Mraz for our first dance. Not only did he learn that song, he learned Make It Mine as a surprise for us! Then while taking requests, my dad tried to stump him by picking a song from Epcot's Millennium celebration that he doesn't even know the name of. He knew and played it phenomenally!!
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/Picture1.jpg
Floral
Disney Floral: B
They followed all my requests for my bouquet. They took out the palm leaves that wrapped over the top of the bouquet. They even used a few less orchids so there would be more color than green. When they handed it to me I was happy as a clam with it. After seeing pictures my designer eyed did notice one thing I would have changed. I would have put a few of the callas towards the center of the bouquet to balance the color. Then I took a re-look at the instructional photo I sent them and it did have more callas in the center.
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/flowers-1.jpg
Flyboy Naturals: B+
We purchased our own rose petals that were freeze dried. We bought enough for our petal toss as well as a nice coating for the aisle. I'm extremely glad we decided to purchase our own! It was so windy that we could not lay down the petals for the aisle but we will be able to use them for our at home reception. Much better than being charged for an aisle way that would have blown away!
Their website was really confusing and difficult to use. However, they had the best prices and fast shipping! If you call with a question they more than likely will call back within the hour.

Beauty
Patricia LeJuene: A
She was incredibly delightful to laugh and chat with on my wedding day. I had a very specific idea for my makeup and she nailed it. I couldn't find a picture of a hairstyle anywhere that was exactly what I wanted. So I sent her images of a few that I kind of liked and pointed out the details that I liked about them. She was able to create a hairstyle I loved from those few details. She made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day!! My wedding location was extremely windy! After the ceremony and well into the night people were commenting about how amazing my hair looked and how they can't believe it stood up to the elements so well!! Beyond my wedding day her and Randy took the time to email me the products she used. My only critism is that I noticed a few makeup lines on my chin. To her defense I didn't notice them until we got a few of our pictures back and its not in all of them.
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/wedding08.jpg
Bamboo Salon: A+
My mom looked for someone a little less expensive than Patricia to blow dry her hair. Patricia's rates are a flat rate across the board no matter what you want. She found a new little place called Bamboo Salon on Palm Parkway (Just next to the Downtown Disney Entrance to WDW Property.) Libby the owner was really nice and able to do exactly what she wanted at a really reasonable price.
Crest 3D Whitestrips (Professional Effects): A
I had used Crest strips when they first hit the market years ago. I found them to be messy and totally useless; so I was very skeptical to try again. The new professional effects strips were affordable and really worked! I only used them twice a day for 3 days before the wedding and the results were fantastic!
Steaming and Cleaning
Carolyn Allen: A
The staff was friendly and arrived 15 minutes early. They conveniently picked up my dress from the hotel to be cleaned and shipped home afterwards. They wanted to add an extra charge for the cleaning to be faster than 10 weeks. When I declined to use their cleaning services they quickly dropped the extra charge.
Suits
K&G: B+
We opted to buy Patrick a nice suit he could wear again instead of renting a tux. K&G is owned by Men's Warehouse so the suit quality was just as good for a much better price. The only thing he felt was lacking was their attention to detail in the tailoring department.

After the plane was de-iced I planned on only being awake long enough to snap the following two shots. As fate would have it we were sat next to Doreen, a huge Disney fan and sweet to boot. Unfortunately, she also loved to talk which threw a wrench in our plans of sweet dreams of the days to come.

Cristina, an amazing friend of ours, arrived at the airport with this homemade sign and lots of energy!! Her bubbly demeanor quickly made us forget about all the trials we survived to get to this point and once again made us excited about our pending wedding! :yay:
The three of us headed for a relaxing lunch at Panera and then to Downtown Disney to visit with some old friends. We put Cristina in charge of getting us out in time. Luckily, we had a lot more time than we realized because its a lot more difficult to say goodbye to someone after only seeing them for an hour when its been a year since your last visit.
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/wedding03.jpg
She then escorted us to my parents' room at the Port Orleans resort, where we passed out our welcome bags. They were a huge hit!
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/bag.jpg
We visited for a few minutes before we had to turn around and pick up Patrick's friend from the airport. I was hoping Andy would be just as tired as us, but after flying in from England he was wide awake.
We all headed to Boma for an always incredible dinner. Did you know the stopped serving potatoes with afrituted? :confused3 Such a bummer, they were my favorite! I wasn't very involved in the conversation, in fact I don't remember much else of the night because I was just awake enough to function. I felt bad, but had plenty of time to make it up to them!

Wedding Bag Details
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/bag.jpg
Who doesn't love reusable shopping bags with Mickey Mouse on them? These were purchased at the Disney Store for 2.50 a piece. Each family received one filled with their favorite candies and a handy backpack for each person to carry around the parks.
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/parkbag.jpg
We found a great deal for the backpacks on amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MXIYKS/ref=s9_simh_gw_p193_d13_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-4&pf_rd_r=1H1SCJZJ808RWPRM4XJK&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470939031&pf_rd_i=507846)!
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/buttonspic.jpg
Each bag had personalized celebration buttons for our wedding as well as my dad's 50th birthday! Thank you curiouser (http://www.disboards.com/member.php?u=93123) for this awesome idea! I found a still picture of Maid Marion & Robin Hood for the wedding buttons. I used Illustrator to create a vector drawing of dad's favorite character, Tigger, for his! Everyone loved them, not just our guests, but other Disney guests and cast members too!
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/buttons2.jpg
You can purchase the buttons to make your own here (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001685KSM/ref=s9_simh_gw_p79_d13_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1H1SCJZJ808RWPRM4XJK&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846). These were a lot less expensive than Michaels and Joann's even with coupons.
On the outside of each bag I also attached an antibacterial gel with its own carrier. On sale these each cost about 1.20 a set. I also attached a personalized Disney's Photopass in an ID badge. ID badges were really inexpensive at Office Max. We also wrote down the number of each Photopass we handed out and had the number attached to ours. The pre-order price is 99.00 which turned out to be an amazing deal for the 2,000 + pictures we ended up with between us and our guests!
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/detailcloseup.jpg
The dollar bin at Target always has some kind of cute Disney items. Here is what we included in our bags.
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/dollar.jpg
Andy received one of each kind of Toy Story Mac & Cheese... since they are after all Andy's Toys.
We also included some vacation & wedding essentials.
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/essentials.jpg
And of course there has to be some fun stuff!
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/hazeljellybean/Wedding%20Planning/funstuff2.jpg
The pinwheels came in a pack of three for 1.00 at the dollar store. A cute little inexpensive way to dress up the bag. Each person also got a pin lanyard with a Disney Fairytale Weddings pin and a pin we thought they may like.
The most important part of each bag was the treasure box and not because of the doubloons inside. Each treasure box contained a personalized letter telling them how excited we were that they came to celebrate with us and how much we "treasure" :grouphug: their love and relationship. This produced tears every time!

I just read through everything and it was all so amazing! You (and the whole wedding) were absolutely beautiful!!! I loved what you came up with for the welcome bags and you have given me so many ideas to "borrow" from when it comes time for our wedding next year! :thumbsup2 Where did you get the treasure chests from, if you don't mind me asking? I've searched everywhere, but I haven't seen anything as "realistic" and cute as the ones you used. All I've been able to find are really cheap plastic ones that are filled with candy and they look very childish. :goodvibes Thanks a bunch!

I LOVE your Robin Hood buttons!!! Robin is my all time favorite Disney movie and character and those buttons are just too awesome!! How did you make them look just like the Disney Celebration buttons? I would love to be able to make them for my wedding! And I saw your pictures on the Roots blog and they were to die for!! So stunning!! :goodvibes

I drew the buttons in Adobe Illustrator. If you'd like the same buttons I could always send you my template.
Thank you! It was exciting to see my photos on the Roots blog, they are so talented!!

I have enjoyed reading all the details of your wedding, as well as the pictures! I have a question for you.... the shoulder sleeves of your gown....are they removable?? your gown was just gorgeous. Is it the same one you got from the trunk show? Did you have it altered?
And, I must agree with, I believe it was in the photographers comments, that the love was visibly oozing in the photos. Best wishes in your marriage. Congratulations!

Oh my goodness I'm behind! We are about to leave for our first anniversary trip in two days and I haven't even got to our wedding day in the journal yet!

Thank you! Thank you!
They are removable! It is the same dress I got at the trunk show, and I did have to have it altered so while I had the seamstress look at it I asked her if it would be possible to make them removable. So I wore them for the ceremony and took them off part way through our pictures.
