Mexico Pavillion Summer 2010

I've heard about the new restaurant construction going on and would like to know if anyone knows for sure:
1. Whether the Pyramid will be open (vis a vis the Three Caballeros ride)
2. Whether we will be able to get quick service lunch at Cantina de San Angel.

We are traveling end of August 2010.

Cantina de San Angel is gone. That is where the new restaurant will be. The new restaurant will be both quick service and table service. No idea what its going to be called. Also no idea what date it is supposed to open.

The Pyramid will be open as usual.

Thanks anthony2k7. I did hear that something would be available for lunch though. If CSA is gone, does anyone know if what I heard is true? If so, what will be available for QS meals?

Maybe the old San Angel Inn inside the pyramid is where they will have QS? Just a thought.

No, San Angel Inn is still in operation and still a TS. There is also the Cava de Tequilla inside.

Where you can get a QS "Mexican" meal of sorts is on the opposite side near Canada at the old McDonalds refreshment port - they have empanadas and some other such small Latin items.

Until the Cantina de San Angel construction is completed in the fall there is no other CS Mexican in Epcot. Construction on that outdoor restaurant in no way affects anything inside the pyramid at all.

Wow, the latin food sounds interesting. I am disappointed about Mexican QS though. (I prefer it to the TS). Guess I'll have to wait till our next trip. But glad to hear the pyramid will be open! Thanks for your input!

There are a couple of QS kiosks outside the pavilion, but there is no seating area.

And the replacement fo the Cantina will be QS during daytime but TS at night.
