This past December while I was at WDW there was a Chip & Dale Annual Pass pin which was released back on November 19, 2009, however every location across WDW that sold it told me it was sold out. Now ever since I got my Annual Pass I have been able to purchase all the Annual Pass pins which were released and some had been out for a while, so I am just wondering what made this one so popular? Anyway here is a picture of it so you know the one I am talking about.

Guessing maybe because it was released during the holiday season. :confused3
And it was "only" 2,000 LE. That is not too unusual for an AP pin with a specfic theme.
The SWW AP pin sold out relatively fast last year too. Some just do.
That and I think Chip n Dale have a following, similar as Tink, Stitch and other characters do.

I am just guessing also.....
The Mickey Monitor featured this pin before the holidays. Many passholders read about the pin in the Monitor and then knew to ask for it while they were visiting WDW.

Chip and Dale are a favorite character of the Japanese traders, so it's usually good to have a few in your trade bag.
