Hey all - new here!

My husband and I are going to Vegas for the first time this coming June and staying at Paris. We know one day (a full day) we will be going to the Grand Canyon, and one other night will be taken up at O (planning on eating at Sensi that night), but other than that, we don't have any set plans. We we want to see either Jubilee or Crazy Girl, but thats about it. We are just going the two of us, and have about $1000 for food - can you recommend some good restaurants on the strip (or at big casino hotels just off the strip that are within walking distance) that we can go to? We probably don't want to spend more than $150 per meal.

Thanks in advance!!!!!

Thanks in advance!!!!!GO SEE JUBILEE. It is a fabulous show and there's nothing like it anywhere. Plus you can walk to the Jubilee Theater from Paris without going outside. The Steakhouse and the Italian restaurant (Al Dente) at Ballys is pretty good too.

Hmmm . . . not more than $150 & near Paris . . .

Olives at Bellagio
Les Artists steakhouse at Paris
The Palm at Forum Shops
Spago at Forum Shops, depending on what you order
Joe's Stone Crab at Forum Shops, ditto (stone crab bisque :dance3:)
Smith & Wolensky on the Strip near MGM Grand
Wolfgang Puck Cafe at MGM Grand (blue cheese potato chips :thumbsup2)
Craftsteak at MGM Grand (if you order prix fix menu)
Alize at the Palms, depending on what you order (awesome view)

more casual
Cheesecake Factory at Forum Shops
Grand Lux Cafe at Venetian
BLT Burger at Mirage

There are SO many restaurants in Las Vegas and this is what I can think of off the top of my head. Look at a few websites like las vegas dot com or vegas dot com.

Have fun planning your trip!

We really enjoyed Carnavino at the Palazzo Hotel. We let our waiter and chef completely decide on the food and wine pairings. Never did that before and I am a bit of a picky eater. My wife and I LOVED everything.

Try to sea food buffet at Bellagio, yummm. At the Mandalay Bay, I can't remember the name of the restaurant, but it's the one with the wine "angels" if you look at their website. it was delish!! and I mean delish!! Their buffet is also really good. At the MGM, Emerils is really good, the banana cream pie is to die for. My former co worker loves, Nobu's, I never ate there, but he does every time and goes to vegas several times a year.

Don't eat at the Paris Buffet, wasn't that good, nor at the Excaliber, it was nasty.

The mexican food in vegas is really good.

So many good places to eat in Vegas. And oh, don't forget In 'n Out!! and at the one right off the strip has a factory store with all the t-shirt designs in it, as well as other items.

This is just my 2 cents, take it with a grain of salt if you wish..... we stayed at the Paris 2 times, maybe 3x, the first time was great, the second time was terrible. Worst place we stayed at in vegas, customer service was terrible, horid in fact. Room was beautiful and clean, but customer service was terrible, the worst ever, and we aren't that picky. Just be pleasant is all we ask. Hopefully you will have a much better experience, but my personal suggestion would be to look into somewhere else if you could change your resie's.

mandalay Bay has many choices. I always eat at Burger Bar. It's in Mandalay Place which is between Luxor and MB. You can get great food at all og the high end hotels/ casinos. Stay away from food at the low end places i.e. Excalibur, Imperial Palace. There is a Japanese place at TI that has good Sushi and one at MB. If you like buffets do the world one at Bellagio or the one at Venetian. Very expense but they have all kinds of exotic foods. Bring sunscreen and a hat and have a great time!

Something we really enjoyed was Sea Blue in the MGM, it was across from Emeril's. They had Happy Hour with $1 oysters and $1 cocktail shrimp, the minimum was 6 of each but man they were sooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!!! DBF and I went there one night and just had oysters and shrimp. :)
