I have stayed at the Hilton in Downtown Disney twice recently, and I would like to recommend it. There really was absolutely nothing that I could complain about with this hotel. It has a very (and I mean VERY) short walk to downtown disney (go behind the pool, and there is a sidewalk that leads about 100 yds and you're crossing the street and entering the Team Mickey store)- the walk from here is the shortest of the downtown disney hotels (and yes, I've stayed at Wyndham Palace several times and it's longer). The Hilton rooms have also been recently refurbished- I was surprised at how brand spanking new everything looked. Also the cleanliness is the best I've seen on Disney property at this hotel- it was immaculate! Not even a stray hair on the sheets! (And I can't say that for the Disney resorts- I've opened up the sheets before to a bunch of hair in several Disney resorts, but we won't go there right now). The outside of this hotel is probably not the fanciest looking- somewhat plain- but once you get inside I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. This hotel also doesn't have many rooms with balconies, the only ones are on the very ends, which look like they are suites. The pool area is nice, with two pools (one deep enough to actually dive into, which is a rarety nowadays), and a pool bar. And there is a nice workout room which is actually usable (not just a few machines stuffed into a small room, which is what passes for a fitness center at most hotels). All of the staff seemed to be friendly too, so I really recommend this hotel, as probably overall the best one in Downtown Disney in my opinion. If you have any more questions on this one, just post back again, or email me at freediverdude@yahoo.com.

I just stayed at the Hilton in JUly. We got our room through priceline for $60 a night. The place was very nice and very convenient to the parks and to downtown disney. The room was always immaculate. The food at the hotel was very good and reasonably priced. The foodin the mini bar was actually cheaper than in their 24 hour market. That is a rarity in a hotel now.
