Is this the place for a family of five to have a day at the beach? We think we've decided not to head to San Diego this year and just stay on Disney property and relax. We've done Newport Beach before and stayed on Coronado in San Diego so we would like a nice beach to have fun for half the day and it would be nice if it was picturesque.

It is a lovely beach! We lived in NB before moving to SD! DH & I walked that beach almost every single night! I will post pics if you like! :goodvibes

It really is ... the parking is I believe $10.00 a day. They have the circular fire pits as well for grilling. It happened to be a quiet evening when I took the pics hence no one was around and it was probably winter as well. They do have lovely bathrooms as well as one restaurant/snack bar type place for lunch and dinner. This would be a perfect day trip from DL to have fun in the sun!!! :beach:

We loved living in NB but DH was offered a fab job and we could not refuse BUT we are loving the San Diego life as well. :sunny:
